Jim Clendenen – Pioneer Winemaker of Santa Barbara
Our hearts are heavy with the loss of Jim Clendenen, a pioneer of winemaking in Santa Barbara County and a dear friend to all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Back in 2017, Sam had the opportunity to sit down with Jim to discuss his incredible career spanning more than 3 decades at the time. We share it with you today in celebration of his lifelong passion for wine and food, and bringing people together with both.
Our lives are profoundly changed for having known this wonderful man, and our deepest sympathies are with his family and the Au Bon Climat team during this time.

✨ Flash Sale! ✨
Our End-Of-The-Month Wine Deal is here for the next 24 hours!
Since 2006, Bien Nacido Estate has been stashing away the best fruit for their own bottlings. Not a matter of quality, but style. These wines are made with all the care and attention of the main line, but are simply meant to be enjoyed more immediately.
Today's '2019 "Well Born Cuvée" Chardonnay' is one of the first to carry “Bien Nacido Estate” on its label. Traditionally the Well Born (which translates to Bien Nacido!) label is only found in restaurants, so this is a truly rare chance to take this wine home! Plus, if you stop by the Wine Merchant today you'll pick up a 2-for-1 pass to their tasting room, so you can experience their Estate lineup directly from the source.
Buy now online and pick up later, or have it shipped straight to your door: https://shop.winemerchantcafe.com/blowout-wine-deals-c126.asp
