Château Pontet-Canet is breaking new ground in sustainable winemaking, and with their 2023 vintage release, we take a look at the season and how they tried to minimize the effects of the heat waves. 🌱 After being hit by two consecutive heatwaves, the château prepared to apply a white clay sun screen to the vineyard. This was done to mitigate the effects of the high temperatures. After 4 years of dedication, the 2023 vintage debuts in a lighter, leaner bottle, crafted with less glass for reduced CO2 emissions. The new bottle is 10.6 ounces lighter, reducing the weight of a six-bottle case by approximately 4 pounds. From organic and biodynamic practices in the vineyard to reducing CO2 emissions, Pontet-Canet continues to lead the charge in the industry with its sustainable approach.

Winemaker for Smith Haut Lafitte, Fabien Tietgen, takes us through a journey of taste. 💫 The 2023 vintage offers considerable energy, freshness, and creaminess. 🍷
