In the Midst of Boredom
In the midst of my boredom, thoughts arise,
Contentless whispers, like shadows that lie,
Illusionary blurs, in an empty expanse,
Ideas swirling softly, lost in a trance.
In the race of our lives, no victor is crowned,
Wealth, strength, and power, in silence, they drown.
For all must surrender, return to the dust,
No trace of our stories, no matter how just.
Enslaved by our pride, and consumed by our greed,
We torture each other, in a desperate need
To shield those we cherish, before time’s cruel end,
Yet families can fracture, their bonds seldom mend.
For problems arise from the ties we hold dear,
A paradox woven, so close and so near.
Yet beneath all the chaos, resilience shines bright,
A flicker of wisdom, igniting the night.
We’re intelligent beings, with hearts that can change,
Through kindness and courage, our lives can rearrange.
So let us invoke the deep wisdom within,
And strive for a world where love can begin.
With each rising dawn, may our thoughts find their place,
In the tapestry woven of hope and of grace.
For together we flourish, and together we stand,
As better versions of ourselves, hand in hand.
