The 2023 Deerassic Classic weekend starts on Thursday night for our Annual Campground Party. The DJ and Co****le Tournaments start at 3pm and the Andy Davis Band will perform at 7pm and THW (The Hillbilly Way) will conclude the night at 9pm. During the party, we will have a 50/50 raffle, games, raffles, and more. Co****le registration will begin on July 1st and cost will be $20 a team. More information to come. We still have some tickets available for the Deerassic Classic weekend and you can find all information on our website www.deerassicclassic.com.

Starting THIS WEEK Deerassic Park will have public visiting hours 10:00am-4:00pm every Thursday, Friday & Saturday through September 30th! For the full season schedule, visit deerassic.com for more details!

Come spend the day with us for FREE and visit our everyday attractions such as; our Welcome Center/Giftshop, Ohio Whitetail Hall of Fame, our BRAND NEW Nature Themed Playground, and our Deer Viewing Docks! Each day throughout the entire season these will ALWAYS be available and ALWAYS FREE!

There will also be Themed Days throughout the season which will include extra activities that will require the purchase of a $5.00 wristband for the day. Wristbands are required by ALL visitors participating in activities. Wristbands can be purchased online at deerassic.com or at our Welcome Center front desk.

For every youth wristband purchased, you will receive (1) adult wristband FREE! Example: if (2) adults bring (1) child, you will need to purchase wristbands for the child as well as (1) of the adults. But if you bring (2) adults and (2) kids, you would just need to purchase the (2) child wristbands and both adults would get wristbands FREE!

$25.00 season passes are also available which gets (1) specific visitor access to the Park during visiting hours ALL SEASON LONG!

Themed Days which include activities that require the purchase of a wristband:

-Nature Thursdays
Every Thursday, June 1st-August 31st.
Special Activities Include: Live Reptile & Amphibian Demonstrations & Canoeing & Kayaking!

-Fishin' Fridays
Every Friday, June 2nd-September 1st.
Special Activities Include: Open Pond for Fishing & our Kid-Friendly 9-Hole Disc Golf Course!

-Pond Saturdays
1st & 3rd Saturday of each month.
Special Activities Include: Canoeing, Kayaking, Paddleboarding & Open Pond for Fishing!

-Explorer Saturdays
2nd Saturday of each month.
Special Activities Include: Creeking, Low Ropes Course, Hiking Trails, & Gaga Ball!

-Bullseye Saturdays
4th Saturday of each month.
Special Activities Include: BB Gun Range, Archery Tag, Riflery Range, & S.A.F.E. Archery

Don't scare the deer at your own property! Come out and sight-in your fi****ms at Deerassic to prepare for Ohio Deer Season this year on Sunday, November 27th from 1PM-3PM. The event includes; FREE RANGE TIME (first come, first serve), FREE TARGETS AT THE RANGE, FREE FOOD, ALL SHOOTERS RECEIVE FREE ENTRY INTO MUZZLELOADER RAFFLE. Range is open to all legal fi****ms for harvesting deer in Ohio ONLY. Please use the range entrance off of Allen Lane to enter.

We want to send out a big congratulations to Harold of Coshocton who won this year's Pre-Event 50/50. The total Pre-Event 50/50 was $438,975 and Harold took home $219,487.50. This was the largest prize we have ever given out. Harold is currently serving his 19th year in the US Army and has supported the Deerassic Classic for many years. He first started purchasing tickets when he was stationed in Kuwait. Congrats Harold and thank you for your service.

In partnership with Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Parks & Watercraft, the Guernsey County Board of Developmental Disabilities is holding an Inclusive Youth Fishing Tournament on Saturday, June 18th from 10am to 2pm at Salt Fork State Park at the Sugartree Marina.
Trophies will be awarded for highest total weight caught per age group. Participants are asked to bring their own fishing poles. Bait will be provided. A limited number of loaner fishing poles will be available.
June 18th is an Ohio Free Fishing Day, so a fishing license is not required.

CONSTRUCTION NOTICE: The causeway #2 bridge located on Park Road 1 between the Stone House Trail parking lot and Park Road 29 (Hosak’s Cave) will be closing for full deck replacement on July 11th, 2022 for 90 days. When attempting to access the park from the north, please use Interstate 77 to US Route 22 as the preferred detour. Detour signs will be posted.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: As of Friday, 5/27/2022 the main campground is open for reservations for arrival beginning at 3pm today. Paving work has progressed to the point where we are able to open the campground however, as some construction is still ongoing, please use caution. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers. Beginning today, Thursday, May 12th, we will be open to the public from 2:00PM - 6:00PM on Thursdays and Fridays and from 10:00AM - 4:00PM on Saturdays! Experience our new Welcome Center, tour the Ohio Whitetail Hall of Fame, and observe our live deer herd from the deer viewing docks. Deerassic Park is the perfect place to enjoy the outdoors this spring and summer.
