It is with great sadness that I announce that Sophia, the store mascot, passed away peacefully this morning. Sophia was the meanest cat I ever had until last year when she decided sitting in the middle of the store counter and being petted was pretty grand. If she wasn’t in the store, she was crying at the front door to get in and waiting patiently (or not) every morning to be let in to assume her rightful position. My thanks to all of the customers who loved and sometimes left treats for her. She will be missed. She joins her housemate of 15 years, Lexxi, who passed away in October. Sophia was 21! Rest In Peace, my friend!
