Excellent Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon with dinner two days in a row. 2017 Duckhorn Vineyards, Howell Mountain, Cabernet Sauvignon. Duckhorn has produced Cabernet Sauvignon wine from this high-elevation AVA for over twenty-five years. This well-crafted Cabernet is dark ruby red with aromas of ripe red berries, blueberry jam, allspice, vanilla, and hints of cedar. On the palate, this mouth-filling Cab Sav showed an excellent balance between fruit, acid, and tannins. It showcased flavors of chocolate-covered cherries, blackberries, figs, green tea, and notes of five spice.

This wine is exquisite now, but it should age nicely for at least a decade. I enjoyed this wine yesterday at , with cheese and jams with a delicious bread. The following day, I enjoyed this gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon with my dinner of bone-in thick pork chop and baked asparagus with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. The wine provided a fantastic pairing with both! Salud 🍷
