Our Story
In 2012, my mom and grandma started a t-shirt quilting business, "Quilts by Mom-n-Me," over their mutual love for quilting and making people in our community in suburban Chicago happy. They made t-shirt quilts for everyone - the neighbor down the street who ran marathons, the varsity cheerleader who wanted to remember every cheerleading competition of high school, even girls in my sorority who wanted to commemorate all the mixers attended over four years of college. My mom and grandma were so close, and it was so heartwarming to see them have a hobby where they could spend time together doing something they both really loved.

At 78, my grandma was doing Pilates every morning and loved to cross-country ski every winter. Just three quick months after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2015, she passed. It happened so fast, and we were devastated. We keep her memory and quilting spirit alive in "Quilts by Mom-n-Me," as I now help my mom run her small business, and it makes me so happy to work with my mom as a creative outlet for both of us, while helping remember one of my grandma's favorite hobbies.
