It is with a mix of sadness and excitement that we lock the doors as owners of LCS for the last time tonight. Tomorrow morning, our little store in Levant will be under new ownership. It’s bittersweet and feels surreal and yes, you read that right, LCS has been sold and you are almost free of us at last. haha
Before we go, we want to let you all know how grateful our family is for all the love and support the Greater Levant community has shown us. When we first stepped foot in the store in 2008, Taylor was a toddler, Olivia wasn’t even born, and Jason was still full-time Air Force. Somewhere along the way, we blinked and now the girls are soon to be 17- and 13-year-old ladies with strong minds, work ethic, hearts and dreams. And it’s important for us to spend as much time with them as we can before they leave the nest to chase them.
We have poured our hearts, blood, sweat and tears into this business and are proud of how it is grown over the years. We are especially grateful to all our staff. Running a c-store is hard and the average length of ownership is seven years. Because of our fabulous crew, we made it to 14.
We won’t be going far, we’re just pivoting. Jamie is looking forward to finishing the book she has written and will be working on landing a literary agent to get it published. Jason will be overseeing the build of an exciting new project we are tackling on the coast – a future vacation rental called The Maine Mooring. We have been saving for and dreaming about it for decades and it’s finally becoming reality. We will still be in the area chasing kids to and from school and sporting events and have a few other things up our sleeve for the months ahead so if you’d like to stay in touch and see what we are up to next, give us a follow at JC Mulligan Co. and The Maine Mooring - both here on Facebook and Instagram.

School is back in session and that means two things…pumpkin everything is officially okay to consume and we have two full time day openings because two of our fave employees have returned to school at USM for the semester (We miss you Jillian! 😭) and accepted a position at Bangor Savings (Don’t forget us Laura!).
Important things to note: we are a tight crew who, cleans not leans, enjoys sharing and making random TikToks and likes to laugh while we work hard. LCS is a fast paced environment but we pay well, offer paid time off and a set schedule. One of the positions is Sunday to Thursday 6:30am-2pm while the other is Tuesday to Saturday 6:30am-2pm. Must be 21 due to state liquor and tobacco laws. These daytime positions do NOT last and we anticipate to fill both by early next week. If you or someone you know is interested, please pop in, fill out an application ASAP.

LCS was awarded the Top Performing Dealer Location for Irving Oil for 2020 (wahoo!!) and we couldn’t be more proud...okay...Jay and I are proud, some of these ding-a-lings clearly aren’t as excited as others. 🤣 A big thank you to Greater Levant for all your continued support that lifted this little Mom and Pop shop to the very top of Irving’s list.
