STRAIGHT BOURBON WHISKEY

Today we announce the release of our long awaited Straight Bourbon Whiskey

It is a Wheated Bourbon which has been mashed, fermented, distilled & aged for at least 4 years at Bully Boy Distillers in Boston, MA

When we first set out to distill a Bourbon, we did so with two guiding principles. One, let’s do things differently. Let’s create something that plays within the four corners of what a Bourbon drinker would expect, but let’s add something new to the story. And two, let’s execute on every level. Let’s dial in every aspect of the process, and let’s do it the right way, even if it’s more expensive

We put every aspect of Bourbon production under the microscope. It was years before we settled on a recipe and process that felt right

Ultimately we landed on our final recipe of 61% Corn, 30% Malted Wheat and 9% Malted Barley. While Unmalted Wheat is more common in a Bourbon, we made the choice to use Malted Wheat – and ratcheted up the percentage – which we found offers distinctive flavor and complexity to the spirit. We’ve also implemented a variety of unique fermenting, distilling and aging techniques, all of which resulted in a Bourbon that’s robust and aromatic, but also clean and silky with notes of golden raisins, pecans, marzipan, coconut, and leather

Our Straight Bourbon Whiskey is aged in 53 gallon barrels made from staves that are seasoned for at least 12 months. All our barrels receive a medium toast and a three char. It is bottled at 95 Proof
