Please remember the Robinson Family during their time of bereavement.

Funeral services for Eric Shay Robinson, 30, of Hineston, will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 4, 2024 in the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church of Hineston with Bro. Eugene Williams and Bro Benji. Rham officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Hineston.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 4, 2024, from 11:00 A.M– 1:00 P.M in the church.

Eric was born on January 16, 1993 to his parents, Ricky and Mechelle Robinson. He passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023 in Pitkin.

Eric was a devoted and loving father & friend, and was his wife’s “Redneck Romeo” since high school. He had a quiet personality and often preferred to stay in the background, saving his crooked grin and sense of humor for his closest family and friends. He loved spending time outside, whether it was hunting, fishing, riding back roads, or playing with the kids in the yard. He was also quite the handyman, both at work and when bringing to life his wife’s latest Pinterest-inspired projects. His dependable nature, quiet wit, and his love for his family will be missed.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife; Kaitlin Robinson of Hineston, La., parents; Ricky and Mechelle Robinson of Hineston, La., sons; Hudson Robinson, Kane Robinson, Tritt Robinson all of Hineston, La., daughter; Raelyn Robinson of Hineston, La., sister; Alyssa Robinson (Austin Pace) and niece Avery Pace of Hineston, La.,

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Caleb Hillman, Kaden Hillman, Justus McCollough, Mike Torres, Cole Weatherford, Colby Jenkins and honorary pallbearers will be Gavin Hillman, Austin Pace and Cody Neal.

Congratulations to Reese Stephens for signing a letter of intent to play for LSUA. Reese has shown a true passion for the game and has worked hard to be able to extend her basketball career. We are Pirate proud and can’t wait to support her on this journey.

The early cycle of evening models has done nothing to change my thought process. I think there will be a pretty significant severe threat from around 2:00-10:00 PM on Monday. Forecast instability has stepped past adequate, into the decent range. So basically, it’s slowly trending upward. The real concern is that it seems that scattered supercells will form ahead of the main line. That’s not what we ever want to see. Individual cells can tap into a fairly undisturbed, and unstable atmosphere, and the atmosphere will have the possibility to bring all severe hazards on Monday. Tom and I will be on top of things, and I’ll be live tomorrow morning to discuss any sort of subtle changes. Let’s hope this one slides through with some rain, and no severe weather. After this, we tilt back toward the cool side of things, which means no severe threat for awhile after this one. I’ll update things in the morning.
