Want to try a delicious Bourdeaux, but don't want to break the bank? The 2019 Chateau de la Vieille Tour Bordeaux Superieur is a Merlot and Cabernet dominate blend that hits all those classic Bourdeaux notes. Medium to full bodied with plenty of spiced dark fruits, a touch of minty cedar, all framed in by grippy tannins. The Boissonneau family has owned the winery since 1839. And they farm the property organically.

We're heading to Italy for our Wine of the Week! Morellino di Scansano comes from a hilly coastal region in Tuscany. This is 85% Sangiovese, but it's more ripe than your average Chianti. Think dark fruits paired with shrubby earth, licorice and warm spices. If you haven't tried a Sangiovese like this, you should!

This week, we're heading to the Toro region of Spain. Think old gnarly vines in an extreme climate. Our Wine of the Week is the 2017 Gago. It's 100% Tinta de Toro, the local clone of Tempranillo grape. There are plenty of black fruits, licorice, and wild herbs, all framed in by dusty tannins. This one is drinking really well right now!!
