Our barrel of Ezra Brooks has arrived. In June of this year, we had the opportunity to visit Lux Row in Bardstown KY. What a place. These whiskey makers are incredible and they really know what they are doing. Having to pick from so many options was a tough task (but we were up to the challenge-haha). Our pick comes in at cask strength-120 proof. It has all the tasting notes of a proper KY bourbon. You will get sweet caramel, soft chocolates and spices of a great rye blended all together. Come down soon to get a bottle $59.99.

Earlier this summer, I had the opportunity to select a barrel pick from Yellowstone. The timing of the trip was perfect. As it turned out Stephen B. Beam was on the property that day. He is the great-grandson of M.C. Beam and the master distiller of Yellowstone. He is very impressed with South Carolina’s love for bourbon and knows our lake well. We walked and talked bourbon for a couple hours. During that time, he helped me pick our store barrel, closely matching it to the Yellowstone Limited Edition 101 proof. The main difference with our single barrel is that it came in at 115 proof. The Distillary also gave us a fantastic price of $64.99. This one off bottle is very special.
