“There’s beauty in the things of winter”

From our wonderful artist in shop,

On my walks with my husband around our
Western North Carolina neighborhood, or on
our hikes in Dupont Forest or Pisgah Forest, I
usually walk with my head down (not really a
good idea) looking for things to draw. I collected
so many things over the past several winters
that I decided to draw this “Winter Wreath”.
This drawing includes a Magnolia seed pod,
acorns, pinecones, Black Lotus seed pods, dried
leaves, twigs, bark with moss, berries and more.
