You never know who'll show up at the Vineyard! Paul Thomas of Paul Thomas Winery fame... once upon a time Paul helped put Washington wine on the map with his 1983 Cabernet Sauvignon, made by a young Brian Carter, that when tasted blind beat out the likes of Quilceda Creek and Chateau Lafite-Rothschild at Windows on the World in New York City. He helped produce many award-winning wines over the years and now enjoys his retirement in the Skagit Valley. Cheers Paul!

We're looking forward to hosting Ryan Hill, Vice President of Sales for RM Wines in Washington this Saturday, March 9th from 1 - 5 p.m.

Ryan landed in the Washington wine industry in 2014, while starting in the cellar and then managing a tasting room. He then transitioned to the wine production facility in Ancient Lakes, where he focused on selling premium wines to other wineries and producers. He became well versed in all of the thirty single vineyards that the company owns and the quality of the wines they produce.

RM Wines is a management portfolio of various wine labels including Alki, Caliche, Evergreen, Rhody and 1889, with wines produced from vineyards owned by Jerry Milbrandt, a pioneer of the Columbia Valley. In 1997, he planted the first vineyards in the Ancient Lakes and Wahluke Slope regions, and now the estate vineyards span 3,000 acres with two processing facilities. RM Wineries focuses on extraordinary value, education about Washington wine and history. The style of wines in the collection are wines that have fresh, flavorful aromas and unique characteristics; mostly stainless steel aged, with some undergoing barrel fermentation.

We're excited to announce our annual IN-PERSON Port & Chocolate tasting is back! This year we're offering you the opportunity to experience that wonderful combination of Port wine & chocolate on two days; Friday, Feb. 10th and Saturday, Feb. 11th - 1 - 5 p.m. each day. Featured will be 7 Kopke Ports; the white Lagrima, Fine Tawny, 10 Year, 20 Year, 1999, 2006 and 2011 Colheita vintage tawnies. The Colheitas were all bottled in 2022, so you can enjoy fine Port with some nice aging (23/16/11 years aging in cask, respectively) Cost is $12 for the flight ($6 club) and includes a tasty chocolate paired with each Port. Ports available by the glass, and we'll have bottles available for sale to go. If Port isn't your thing, we'll have a few whites and reds to choose from. No reservations required... hope to see you soon!

We have a few seats available on the last two Winemaker Dinner Cruises this weekend! Featuring Genoa Cellars on both Friday and Saturday evening (Aug. 19th and 20th), the trips feature a Dungeness crab dinner, delicious appetizers and dessert, while enjoying tasty Genoa Cellars wines, and meeting the owner/winemakers... Genoa is a small boutique winery in Woodinville that specializes in Washington 'Super Tuscan' wines with grapes sourced from the famed Red Mountain region. Meet at the shop no later than 5:45 p.m, we'll then board at 6:15 and depart at 6:30, returning at 9 p.m. Along the way you'll cruise through majestic waterways and sail through Deception Pass, tides willing.
