It’s time for Ashley’s “What I’m Loving This Week”! I love Mexican food and am excited that there’s a new great spot in town for great food and cocktails! Chismoso is on S. Gay Street and is well worth a visit. The food is excellent, drinks focus on additive free tequila, and the vibe is super cool. Chismoso means “gossip” in English and the decor is a kitschy take on it-think a hot pink phone booth and a wall of old school touch tone and rotary dial phones…..You know I’m crazy fired up for the start of football season and just in time comes the release of Vol Lager from Yee Haw Brewery. You’ll find this fabulous offering in a checker board can at Neyland Stadium and of course we have it at Bob’s. Come get yours today!….If you’re looking for some fun UT tailgate and party supplies that you won’t find everywhere, head to Wallace Paper Co. in Cherokee Plaza on Kingston Pike. Sharon has great orange and white cups, napkins, plates and placemats. Get there early for the best selection!

It’s time for Ashley’s “What I’m Loving This Week”! Did you know it’s only 33 days till it’s Football Time in Tennessee?!?! Ladies’ Night at Neyland was Monday and several of us got to chat with Coach Heupel. He seems dialed in and confident! So excited for Saturdays in Neyland!….Speaking of gamedays, it’s almost tailgating season and Sunny D Seltzers released their fall variety pack with flavors like orange apple, orange cranberry, orange pear, and orange plum. It’s very limited so pick yours up today!….Petro’s reminds me of tailgates too - It’s the ultimate portable food. I love the veggie chili on pasta, but the old school with corn chips is crazy delicious too. Don’t forget the orange spiced tea! There are 8 locations in the Knoxville area and you can also find them at Neyland Stadium and Thompson-Boling Arena!

Yes, this is a peanut butter tequila and we thought it was crazy too! HOWEVER, once we tried it we knew we didn’t want another peanut butter whiskey ever again! It’s really fun in cocktails as well. Pictured is a peanut butter and jam cocktail. Side note, Caleb Pressley is behind it and for some reason that just made us love it more. AND THAT’S FAIR…

It’s time for Ashley’s “What I’m loving this week”! We had the most delightful meal at Lilou last weekend and are so excited to go back! The cocktails were lovely; I especially enjoyed my champagne cocktail. The whole restaurant is like dining in an intimate French bistro and is a feast for the eyes. Our meal started with a fabulous cheese tasting, which was curated for our table-a real treat! We thoroughly enjoyed steak au poivre and duck and the wine we chose, with help from the sommelier, paired perfectly. You’ll need a reservation for Lilou and it’s definitely worth it!….This summer seems hotter than ever, which totally calls for enjoying a spritz of any type. I enjoy an Aperol spritz but just tried a limoncello spritz and it was delicious. The recipe is super easy-1 part limoncello, 2 parts prosecco, and a topper of sparkling water. Add a lemon wheel to fancy it up and enjoy!….We just received a shipment of Betty Booze-Blake Lively’s canned cocktails and they are fabulous! We have the tequila based cocktails now and will have the bourbon based cans soon. In flavors like oak smoked lemonade, smoky pineapple, and lime shiso, these are fresh, sophisticated canned cocktails that are not to be missed!

It’s time for Ashley’s “what I’m loving this week”! It’s definitely great to be a Tennessee Vol! Watching our Vols at the College World Series continues to be so much fun! We play Texas A & M Saturday night at 7:30, and I have a great cocktail recipe to enjoy while watching the game. The Big Orange Highball is refreshing, tasty, and super easy to make. Simply pour one part Jim Beam Orange in a tall glass filled with ice and add four parts club soda and garnish with an orange wedge. I also enjoy it with an orange La Croix instead of the club soda…..Are you looking for a new spot for brunch? Try Harvest downtown this weekend. Located on S. Gay Street, Harvest downtown has a cool vibe that’s a bit more laid back than the Bearden location. Enjoy avocado toast (my fave!), crab cake Benedict, or a breakfast burger and of course no brunch is complete without a mimosa. Check out the Caribbean mimosa with coconut rum and sparkling wine-delicious!….Get your orange on this weekend. Every local boutique has fun orange clothing and accessories right now. I’ve seen great fun things at Est8te, Elle, Monkee’s, Obligato, and Alumni Hall to name a few…

It’s time for Ashley’s “What I’m loving this week”! Let’s admit, the main thing on everyone’s mind this week is our baseball Vols heading to Omaha! The Vols take on FL State at 7:00 pm Friday night and I have just the cocktail to enjoy while watching the game. I’m calling it the GBO! It’s super simple: 1 cup fresh squeezed OJ, 2 oz orange vodka, 1 oz Grand Marnier, 3 oz sprite, or if that’s too sweet, club soda. I prefer the club soda. Stir together the OJ, vodka, and Grand Marnier over ice and top with soda. Garnish with an orange slice and you’re all set. Hopefully we won’t need to resort to shots if the game goes south!….It’s really heating up this week and I love to enjoy fresh, chilled seafood when the weather heats up like this. Try The Brass Pearl on Market Square. They specialize in seafood with oysters served in every way imaginable along with great shrimp and fish entrees. Don’t worry if you don’t enjoy seafood; they also do a great burger and Nashville Hot Chicken…..As I’ve said before, I’m crazy about fresh flowers. The Flourish Flower Truck can be found around town most weekends and some weekdays. It’s the cutest vintage van with beautiful fresh flowers perfect for making your own bouquet. It’s time for Ashley’s “what I’m loving this week!” Summer is here and it’s time for some new clothes. I don’t know about you, but I live to wear dresses in the hot weather. They keep you nice and cool and still looking cute. Est8te on Kingston Pike in Bearden always has tons of great dress options. They carry casual dresses from Perfect White Tee and Maria Oliver and dressier options from Amanda Uprichard, Cleobella, and Anna Cate among other brands. The ladies at Est8te are always so warm and friendly and offer up great fashion advice. You can accessorize with jewelry, shoes, and even purses and sunglasses. They have it all!….Summer also mean time at the lake or the pool. Both are the perfect place for a canned cocktail. I personally love a tequila based cocktail like Spirited Hive Tequila and Ginger or Austin Cocktails Margarita. There are tons of great options on our shelves at Bob’s. Mom Water and Spindrfit are both super refreshing and of course you can’t go wrong with any flavor of High Noon!….When the weather heats up I also like to make things easier in the kitchen. Goodness to Go has tons of great tasty options for grab and go meals that are healthy and oh so good. I love their tomato pie and it’s always tough to pass up their baked goods. Their chicken salads are all fabulous as well!
