Most of the canopy is done and we were able to flip the lights on tonight! I think it looks amazing! More work happening soon!

Today, with help from Justin Mitchell and Dale Mitchell, we used Ottis’s telehandler to load the steel beams that will be used in the construction of the canopy. The canopy was removed from a site in Fergus Falls and delivered to Kindred a few years ago. Some good friends helped me disassemble it and get it to Kindred. The canopy will completely cover a majority of the East side of our parking lot. It will be completely redone with new imaging from Marathon. Here are a few pictures from today and a few from the time we took it apart.

Pumps have been set on the pump islands! Hopefully we will be able to use them Monday afternoon.

We are planning on pouring concrete on the South side of the building on Tuesday.

We started this morning with what looked like snow capped hills and ended with most of the East side back filled. Should start seeing a lot more progress tomorrow too.

Gas and diesel still available

Progress is slow but we are still moving forward.

We are excited to announce that we will be offering way more options for gas and diesel in the near future, NEW options will be:

Premium 91 octane ethanol free gas

Off road (dyed) diesel

#2 AND #1 diesel

These changes slowed the job down a bit but this will be an awesome addition to the store.

Also WE STILL HAVE GASOLINE AND DIESEL AVAILABLE DURING CONSTRUCTION!

Find the little red truck out near the street, pull up to it and come find a staff member! We will be able to keep you moving even though the pumps are gone.

Things are happening today!

We are in full swing and things are busy at the store. Thank you for your patience with parking and all the activity today.

One of the old tanks has been removed, crews will be working on digging the hole big enough now for the new tank which is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. An environmental study will be conducted this evening to insure there is no contamination. The old tank was in very good condition and I don’t anticipate any issues.

The dispenser on the south side has been removed as well, this leaves us with one dispenser still operating.

We have transitioned to Super Unleaded fuel in the remaining dispenser. We are still at risk of running out of fuel due to capacity issues.

Things are going to be challenging for a while!
We have started our project to better serve our customers. Here’s what’s going on:

We are installing a brand new fuel tank to increase our capacity. No more running out of fuel! The tank will double our capacity.

We are going to remove the two fuel pumps and replace them with three brand new ones. The new pumps will also have tap to pay, be spaced apart further, and you’ll be able to choose any grade of gas and diesel at each dispenser.

We will transition to Premium 91 Octane with no ethanol and phase out 87 Octane with no ethanol.

Once the tank and pumps are finished we are going to add a massive 26 foot wide by 64 foot long canopy! No more standing in the rain while filling gas! The canopy will have all LED lighting and will look amazing!

We have also decided to brand with Marathon fuels. Top Tier gasoline will be awesome to have and Marathon fuel is some of the best in the nation!

This project will be a busy one. Parking is going to be a challenge throughout the project. We will try our best to update you on our progress. Please be patient, there may be times where we will not have fuel and you may need to plan accordingly.
