Today at 1:00 p.m. Officers responded along with the Kennewick Fire Department to the Minit-Mart Shell station located at W 27th Ave and S Olympia Street for a vehicle that had struck and entered the Minit-Mart. Upon investigation, it appears that the driver mistakenly pressed the gas pedal instead of the brake. Fortunately, there were no injuries, and the cause of the accident was determined to be driver error and no alcohol or other substances are suspected.

Please note that the business will be temporarily closed as the building’s structure is evaluated for safety and the vehicle is removed.
