🔴 Scott Creek Road

Level 3 means leave immediately! Do NOT take time to gather things. GO NOW! There is immediate and imminent danger and you should evacuate immediately.

LEVEL 2 (BE SET) EVACUATION NOTICE FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

🟡 South of Highway 126 from milepost 53.5 east to Scott Road and south to Horse Creek Road
🟡 Foley Springs Road
🟡 Forest Service Road #302
🟡 Belknap Springs Road South
🟡 Camp Yale Road
🟡 Yale Lane
🟡 North of Highway 126 East from the east end of Drury Lane to the end of North Belknap Springs Road

Level 2 means: You must prepare to leave at a moment’s notice, and this may be the only notice that you receive.

Public safety personnel cannot guarantee they will be able to notify you if conditions rapidly deteriorate. Continue to closely monitor your phone, local media and www.LaneCountyOR.gov/BoulderCreekFire for information.

People in the area should be aware of the Highway 126 closure between mileposts 13 and 19.5 Road closure information is available at www.TripCheck.com

The American Red Cross is in need of blood donations and we are having a drive tomorrow. Come on down and join us to help out people in need. A band serenades cows to scientifically test whether music influences the amount of milk produced by cows, 1930.

Cows do like music and the type of music makes a big difference to them. Classical tunes are proven to relax them whereas upbeat music, with more than 100 beats per minute, can actually stress them out.

According to a study by the University of Leicester, located in the United Kingdom, cows prefer slow music. They measured musical preference by studying the increase or decrease in the cows’ milk production, an indicator of their stress levels.

The study found that songs like “Bridge Over Troubled Water” by Simon and Garfunkel and Beethoven’s “Pastoral Symphony” fared the best among the cows.

The same study also found that fast music, those songs that have more than 100 beats per minute, was not enjoyed by the cows. The faster songs are, the more they seemed to contribute to high-stress levels in cattle.

There’s nothing we love more than supporting our local communities in the Willamette Valley! The Scandia Run’s 50th running is on August 10th - take part in the 5k, 10k, 4-mile walk, or the kids 400m Run with the Vikings, all in our hometown of 📍 Junction City, Oregon! And don’t forget to recuperate with a nice cold Lochmead Family Farms 🐄 chocolate milk afterward!

Food and vendors almost set-up to open at 5:30 PM. Band on stage getting ready to play at 6:30 PM. Come claim your spot with a chair or blanket.

Outlaw Shine will be playing a variety of music, including some originals! Food vendors are Nuestro Sabor with authentic Mexican food and fresh drinks, Dari Mart with FREE Lochmead ice cream, and Sugar Daddyz Sweets with freeze-dried candy.

Harrisburg Girl Scouts' booth will have sign-up information. Soroptimist of Junction City will also have a booth with information on human trafficking prevention and education.

Food trucks & vendors 5:30-8:30PM. Live music 6:30-8:30PM.
