Meet Jasmin Foster of ! While cruising the aisles of perspective vendors, the artwork in her booth stopped me in my tracks! I ordered some stationery, agendas, and pens that will ship out this week! With a new year just beginning, I have told myself that it’s not too late to journal and to try to be more intentional and organized. I am also making an effort this year to write personalized notes sent via “snail mail”, (not by text), to reach out to friends, family, and acquaintances to offer words of thanks, encouragement, sympathy, or just to say that I’ve been thinking about them.

I can see clearly now! 👓 ❤️
I have been buying wonderful readers and beautiful quality clothing items from this gentleman for many years and always look forward to seeing Joe Simkhai and his family at Market!

Kinda strange, but he reminds me so much of my first male boss in retail, Alphonse Mercurio, of Saffees, a clothing shop in my hometown that was in business for 95 years!!!

Al and Lorraine of the Mercurio family gave me my first job in retail, and taught me my love of this profession. More importantly, they showed me what it takes to be a shopkeeper. Boots on the ground, smile on the face, positive attitude, love of family, and most of all, hard work (emphasis on the latter).

There are so many layers to having a shop, but for me going to market and looking for items that I think my customers will love is so important. Meeting all these small business owners and creators/designers that have a passion for their businesses that sell to me is inspiring. Even in this age of push-button shopping, there are people who still believe in personal interaction, good customers service, and establishing relationships. We are all living the American dream and are so darn thankful when you purchase something.

Shop local. Shop small.

Shop with the people in your communities - it not only means the world to them, but your purchases support a whole network of people/families behind them that are assisting in making their dreams happen. ❤️

Going to market is always so inspirational for me! Seeing of and catching up with this creative powerhouse is just what I needed! I’m actually going to be participating in a 2 day intensive Chalk Paint workshop with other stockists next week and can’t wait to learn some new things! 🧑‍🎨 Annie’s passion about her brand and her life’s work is amazing and inspirational …. and is a definite nod to following and commiting to doing what you LOVE to do! ❤️

I’m on my annual market trip to Atlanta to find new wonderful things for the shop, and it’s been a great couple of days! A huge highlight has been meeting Rebecca Proctor of MacKenzie-Childs! She is as darling as you would expect and so very kind! Her joy is definitely as infectious as the brand she represents! Can’t wait to show you all the new lovelies they are launching this year! ❤️ (Some as soon as January 23rd!)

I was on my way to my first appt today and saw the talented Jeffrey Surles of right in my hotel! He was making a little post himself - I couldn’t believe it - since you and I had texted about it before I left for Atlanta! Anyway……Molly, Molly, Molly, we now both have something to be joyful for! Thanks so much, Jeffrey, for taking the time to talk to me and help me carry out my promise and finding my JOY today!!! ❤️
