Growing Growers 4 week Container Gardening Workshop

Synopsis:

The Growing Growers 4 week Workshop is designed for beginning farmers who are in need of the “know-how” to begin their own organic gardening/farming journey, with a special emphasis on what is known as Container Gardening.

The classes will cover everything a beginner needs to know about seeds, soil, starter plants, container gardening principles, companion planting principles, watering requirements, transplanting, fertilizing, harvesting, and more.

Those who participate in the Growing Growers Workshop will be fully equipped with the requisite knowledge and confidence to independently grow their own fresh produce!

Free Fresh Produce for the Riverside Community! 🫑🫛🥕🥬🍎

We’re thrilled to give back to the residents of the 46208 area! Every Wednesday from November 1st to November 18th, the Steven E. Shepherd Community Foundation will be hosting a FREE Fresh Produce Drop-off, providing access to quality fruits and vegetables donated by local Black farmers. Each week, produce will be delivered and made available for residents to “shop” and select the items they need most.

If you or a loved one in the neighborhood would like to get on our route, please message us!

Stay tuned over the next few weeks as we share highlights from the experience and introduce some of the incredible vendors making this possible. Together, we’re building a healthier and stronger community! 💚
