Woo hoo! Mother Nature has pumped up the volume! As Hawai'i enters its rainy season, we are graced with beautiful waterfalls throughout our islands. All of our waterfalls are rain-fed so when it rains, over the steep sides of our mountains, the water pours. But be warned - please enjoy these natural beauties from a distance. Standing anywhere near a waterfall can subject you to debris that falls from the mountains above, including rocks and branches. Even a small rock from 100 feet above can HURT. Please respect our precious natural resources and they will be here for everyone to enjoy. Much mahalo to John McAuliffe for braving the cold and rainy weather to capture this breathtaking view!

Heads up, everyone! The narrow roadway leading to the Manoa Falls parking lots will be closed tomorrow, Friday, September 29, 2023 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Those times are subject to change so we'll keep you posted. Hawaiian Electric Co. will be securing a telephone pole on the side of the road. You can't drive in, but you will be allowed to walk up to the Trail from the point of road closure. If you're planning on a hike, you will need to park along the curbs in the community but please be respectful of the adjacent property owners. Do not block their driveways, use their water hoses, pick their flowers, or dispose of your trash in their yards. The restrooms and Rainbow's End Snack Shop at Paradise Park will be open for your convenience. Enjoy your hike!
