Starting Market Zero/Meet Your Owners

We, the two founding owners, Kevin and Kylie Knight, met and worked together at a busy lakeside restaurant in Lake Tahoe, California for a number of years, learning and practicing their skill sets. After working in the restaurant industry for a combined total of over 26 years and seeing what we loved and disliked about the restaurant industry, we wanted to do something more and call it our own. We both wanted to provide people will delicious, yet simple foods that all could afford to enjoy while creating memories with loved ones. It wasn’t long after that the we decided to return to my (Kylie’s) hometown, Holland, Michigan, in hopes of starting our own business.

In May of 2019, we flew back to Michigan in search of the perfect location. Fortunately, we didn’t have to look long. My mother, Jody LaCombe, co-owner of The Seasoned Home, told us, the searching couple, of a spot located in Downtown Holland on 8th Street that was available. After a quick look at the property, the we decided it was the perfect spot to give all we had to offer to the downtown community.

Since May, we have not only worked hard to come up with the perfect business that will hold everything we can possibly offer, but we’ve also moved across the country, bought a home, and have our first baby on the way. We both are so excited for each and every thing that is in our near future, and we can’t wait to share our excitement and passion with you!
