First released in 2000, the Fuente Añejo ci**rs are among the rarest ci**rs being released by Fuente!
Facing a lack of the prized wrappers for their Fuente Fuente Opus X line, Carlos Fuente Jr. had a brainstorm. He decided to use US Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrappers over the existing Opus X blend. But in keeping with the Fuente style, these are not your ordinary maduro wrappers. The wrappers for the Fuente Añejo series are aged for one year in oak Cognac barrels! These wrappers, when combined with what are some of the finest filler to***co grown today, create a cigar that is truly unlike any other in the world!
Arturo Fuente Añejo ci**rs have a blend of Opus X, Don Carlos, and Hemingway filler, with Connecticut broadleaf maduro wrappers that are cured in cognac barrels for 6-8 months after they've been aged. Arcana Thunder Smoke!
For the third release in the Arcana series, we went to the cradle of civilization to source a cigar that is the first of its kind for CAO. Thunder Smoke is blended with to***co grown in the shadow of Africa’s Victoria Falls, the local Sotho name that translates to “The Smoke That Thunders.”

The line celebrates what would have been the 100th birthday of José García Alayón, the father of José “Pepín” García.

In developing the My Father Le Bijou 1922 100 Años blend, the company started with the Le Bijou 1922 blend, which Pepín had originally created as a tribute to his father, and then modified it, though many of the specific tweaks haven’t been disclosed. The blend remains a Nicaraguan puro, highlighted by a wrapper leaf that the company refers to as Habano My Father, as well as an “oscuro oscuro” due to its dark brown color. All of the to***cos for the My Father Le Bijou 1922 100 Años comes from the company’s farms, specifically the San Rafael, Las Quebradas and San José farms.

Deadwood Sweet Jane Dia De Los Mu***os made its debut back in 2019. It is a 6 x 50 box-pressed Toro. The original was an exclusive to Drew Estate Lounge. It is now a nationwide release, but it is being released as a limited edition. The 2024 edition also has received upgraded packaging.

Drew Estate also announced a seventh Freestyle Live mystery cigar. The mystery cigar comes packaged in a kit with three pre-release ci**rs, a cutter, an ashtray, and a lighter. This time, Drew Estate revealed it would be a Deadwood brand cigar but has not announced specifics about what the cigar is or is named. Comfortably Numb by Espinosa Vol. 1 is made in Espinosa's La Zona Factory in Esteli, Nicaragua, and he selected very specific Nicaraguan long-fillers to achieve perfect balance. The ci**rs are draped in a chocolate-brown Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, delivering a medium-bodied experience with notes of coffee, sweet wood, nuts, earth, and smooth spice. If you're a fan of any of his earlier work, you're going to fall in love with Comfortably Numb by Espinosa Vol. 1.
