Desiree Sylver
Desiree Sylver is a busy woman. As she’s answering the many questions for this interview, she’s also completing many of the day’s tasks that are necessary to keep her business, Drunk Chicken Ci**rs, moving forward. The sound of packing tape being pulled from the spool and applied to boxes containing recent orders serves as some sort of industrial musical background noise. She’s also busy making plans for an upcoming event she plans on attending. Multitasking is all part of the game for Sylver, who became one of the latest entrepreneurs to enter into the premium cigar industry with a brand that’s getting a considerable amount of attention and conversation because of its unique name.
Established in 2019, Drunk Chicken Ci**rs are handmade in the U.S.A. to create premium flavor profiles. Every combination of to***co leaf, including the filler, binder, and wrapper, was chosen to produce an assortment of smooth, rich, and savory ci**rs with a variety of customers in mind.
The mission of the Drunk Chicken Ci**rs family is to produce premium ci**rs that can be smoked anytime of the day. Our ci**rs have tones ranging from spicy black pepper, coffee, earthiness, and dark and creamy-chocolate, which can accompany your breakfast, lunch, dinner and evening night cap. In fact, our ci**rs are “Nubalicious”… so good you will smoke it to a nub.
The “Drunk Chicken” name was established one evening as we enjoyed our typical Saturday festivities, the chickens were “going home to roost” and seem to stumble as if they were drunk. The Drunk Chicken events grew, becoming the regular safe place to hang out. The notional entry fee was bringing a cigar to smoke and one to share. This quickly evolved into a quest of finding unique ci**rs none of us had previously smoked.
While traveling, the exploration of various ci**rs bars and shops led to meeting many cigar aficionados including shop owners, cigar diplomats, Cuban hand-rollers, cigar lovers and junkies like us. The creative juices started to flow as they introduced us to freshly rolled-ci**rs and different brands and flavors of ci**rs. To impress our friends, we decided to try our hand at having our favorite to***co leaves blended and hand-rolled to share back at the “Coop”. They were instant hits thus Drunk Chicken Ci**rs “Chicks” were born.
