From Our Aisles to Your Table – Tasty Recipes, Local Flavor : Volume 1.

Hot Spinach dip with homemade beer bread
Its a family favorite for sure, and its easy to make.

Beer bread:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix 3 cups sifted flour, 3 teaspoons baking powder, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/4th cup sugar, and a 12 oz. can of beer. Mix and put in a greased bread pan. I cut slices of butter and put on top, about half a sticks worth. It makes the bread very crispy and crunchy. Bake for an hour. While this is baking make your dip.

Spinach dip:
8 oz. block Pepper Jack Cheese, 8 oz. Cream Cheese, Fresh or frozen spinach 2 cups (Measure with your heart). I sometimes put in some pepper flakes to add some heat and some other seasonings but it honestly isn't needed. Heat all of these ingredients in a crockpot or small sauce pan.

When your bread is cooled or at least cool enough to get your hands on, slice or tear into dippable sections. I will slice the loaf down the long way and then into about a dozen or more slices. The dip can then get spooned or dipped.
