Frank Wayne Zito

Frank Wayne Zito, a resident of Grosse Tete, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at the age of 73. Wayne was a musician and a marksman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was known to all as someone who was not only very direct, but the kindest, most caring, compassionate, and loving person they had the opportunity to know. His pride and joy was his family. He loved them more than anything else in this world. He was the best husband, Daddy, and Pawpaw to his family.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda Bossier Zito; children, Dr. Kevin Zito (Laura) and Marilyn Dorman (David); mother and stepfather, Lena and Louis Peranio; sister, Lucretia Perego (Alan); and grandchildren, Grace, Avery Kate, Caroline, Katherine, and Andrew. He is preceded in death by his son Tony Zito and his father, Frank Zito. A visitation will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grosse Tete on Monday, July 24, 2023 from 9:00 am until the mass of Christian burial at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ralph Bossier, Avery Bossier, Ishmael “Bud” Steib, John Pourciau, Tim Hoffman and Ricky Booksh. Honorary pallbearers will be Phil Thibodaux, Robert Bellelo, Randy Bellelo and Francis Broussard. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude in Wayne’s name.
