🍷This was purchased unseen (which is NEVER done) but a customer wanted a wine from this specific AOC (Gaillac) and we trusted the importer so we pulled the trigger and we chose wisely. 🧐

The grape that this region is commonly known for is Cabernet Sauvignon (given its proximity to Bordeaux) but typically a more rustic style. However, this is not a Cab Sauv, it’s an obscure indigenous varietal by the name of Duras and comes from a young producer doing things the right way i.e. organic farming, caring for the vines, making wines for love not for profit.

It’s light bodied and fresh but funky and brooding at the same time, in a word, complex and you have to check it out! 😍
