Our wine of the week is from one of Argentina’s most influential viticulturists, this is high-altitude, old vine Malbec from Altamira in the Uvo Valley.

Ahhh, white Burgundy. But not just any white Burgundy, this ladies and gentlemen, is Domaine Roulot Meursault. Always a cult producer, critic’s darling, beloved and sought after by Burgundy lovers world wide. This is a wine to be coveted and aged to perfection, almost a travesty to drink it now, although who am I to judge. I am so humbled and excited to have received 2 bottles of their Meursault Villages, this is Meursault at its highest expression. The 2022 vintage is full of minerality, floral and citrus notes and razor sharp precision. We were alotted 2 bottles by our distributor (read: there is no more available) so I’m keeping one for myself but one of you lucky customers can snag the other one, it’s basically W***y Wonka’s Golden ticket in the form of White Burgundy heaven.

Fun week ahead! Wine of the week is Emilio Manterola “Agerre” Txakolina Rosé. Seaside cliffs of northern Spain. Dry, super light, slight fizz, refreshing salinity. Just delicious!

Ahh birds. So beautiful and harmless and absolutely psychotic when they get together as a group and start terrorizing a town for absolutely no reason whatsoever, just wreaking general havoc and pecking people’s eyes out. That Alfred Hitchcock, he was something else. Psycho is probably his scariest but since wine labels of women being murdered in showers by people dressed up as their dead mothers aren’t really common we’ll go with his second scariest movie and enjoy this extremely delicious and calming Amarone to settle your nerves, tweet tweet.

You were working as a waitress in a cocktail bar when Arnold Schwarzenegger started trying to kill you. See in this totally far-fetched story where people start trusting AI to do the right thing, it becomes sentient and decides the world would be better off without humans. How ridiculous is THAT. Which is why one of the scariest movies to me is The Terminator, so rewatch it again in case it’s been a while and have this bottle of Purpolator next to you when things start becoming a little too, ahem, similar to now?

Wine of the week is Kate Arnold Dry Riesling. Comes from the Four Feathers vineyard and Zillah Ranch Vineyard in Washington’s Columbia Valley.

🌼 It has fresh, vibrant notes of yellow flowers and orchard fruit with mouthwatering acidity!
