🌀 Idalia Update: Strong wind gusts and flash flooding are possible tonight and early Thursday. Sustained wind speeds of 15 to 30 mph are expected, with 30 to 40 mph gusts. Rain totals between 3 to 6" are expected, with a risk for flash flooding.

Wayne County is under a flood watch from this afternoon until Thursday evening. A Flood Watch is issued when conditions are favorable for flooding. It does not mean flooding will occur, but it is possible.

River flooding is not expected, but flash flooding is a possibility. Wind and rain could be heavy overnight tonight, so please exercise caution if you have to be out. Remember-- turn around, don't drown. If a roadway is flooded, do not drive through the water.
