We have been getting tons of requests for the brand new Puffco Pivot! Whenever Puffco drops a new product it is rather hard for us to get our hands on them for the first several weeks or even months. Puffco themselves even show these as currently out of stock on their website. We are expecting a shipment with a VERY limited amount on Friday of this week. Just got a restock of most of our larger size Raz Bars and Geek Bars. We also got two new limited edition Halloween flavors of Raz Bars with special Halloween animations and designs! Also trying out a few new brands and we received a few of the new 20K Fifty Bars with a digital screen!

I am also creating a $5 and a $10 clearance basket for some of our brands/flavors that are becoming a little less popular. Stop by and check out all the other new stuff we’ve been getting in lately!

I have decided to close the rest of the day and take the time to run some much needed errands. A majority of our sales are done through card transactions and after the last two hours, it looks like it’s just not in the cards for us today. Pun intended 😂

We are currently experiencing problems with our credit card terminal here in the store. I have been on the phone with tech support for the last hour and there is no resolution available for us today. They are overnighting us a new terminal that should arrive by noon tomorrow at the latest. With that being said, we are only able to accept CASH the rest of the day today. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and should have this taken care of first thing tomorrow morning.

Up In Smoke will be closed Thursday, October 3rd through Monday, October 7th. We will reopen with normal hours on Tuesday, October 8th.

You guys know I hate closing down but it’s that time of year again for Olivia and I to head on down to Talladega Superspeedway for the fall race. This twice yearly race is an opportunity for us to get away to clear our heads and refresh so that I can continue to provide you guys with the service you all deserve and so that Pet Grooming by Olivia can take the best care of your fur babies.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but appreciate your all’s understanding in us needing this break to recharge our batteries. That being said, be sure to stop in before Thursday this week to stock up on any necessities for the weekend!

Up In Smoke will be closed Friday, September 27th due to inclement weather. With lots of local businesses and schools closing we feel it will be a good day for us to take off as lots of people will be staying home.

Our parking lot also floods pretty bad during torrential rains making it hard for folks to get to us. We also have two dogs, one a senior, who absolutely HATE heavy rain and storms so we are going to stay home to comfort them. Depending on how tomorrow goes this may change so check back for any updates on whether we decide to open. Thank you all and stay safe!

We would like to announce that we will be CLOSED on Labor Day, Monday, September 2nd. I had already planned to close to give myself some time off but now we are closing for a MUCH more IMPORTANT reason.

Some of you may not know that I bartend in my free time a couple nights a week at Yancey’s Gastropub & Brewery and we are like one big family up there. We recently lost one of our own this past weekend. Michael Aurand was a blessing to anyone he met. He was an amazing employee and friend. He loved his day job at Jobe Publishing Inc. and thoroughly enjoyed working at the bar also. We are saddened by his loss and it has been rough on all of us.

Please join us on Monday as we plan to CELEBRATE his life and all the memories we’ve all made together. We will have several musical acts lined up starting at 4 o’clock including BlueCollar Bootleggers, a band that Mike was in himself. Bazuka Jo 2.0 will be taking the stage at 8 o’clock and you wont want to miss them!! Some of you may remember their last PACKED OUT show at Yancey’s!

We will also be hosting a silent auction with TONS of amazing items donated by SEVERAL local businesses and patrons alike. All of the money raised from this auction and part of the proceeds from this event will go to Mike’s family for any end of life expenses. The weather should be great and it will be a night filled with amazing music, amazing people, and amazing stories about our time spent with our friend. Be sure to tip your bartenders and musical acts as they plan to donate a portion of their proceeds as well!

There will also be specials on Mike’s favorite burger, the mushroom swiss burger and his favorite beer, the Dogtail, one our signature in house brews.

I apologize for the late notice, but I will be closing the store an hour early this evening at 5 o’clock to attend the Young Professionals of Barren County After Hours meeting at The Grove this evening!

I encourage any young professionals to consider attending. These events are open to anyone from the ages of 21-40. It is an amazing way to be connect and network with the next generation of leaders in our city and county!

It has come to my attention that there are many v***r products out there now that are designed to look like everyday items and school supplies. While there are likely many other variations of these devices out there, these are a few examples of what you can find with an internet search of "hidden v**es.”

As adult va**rs, many people opt for a compact, discreet va**ng device for various reasons. However, these go beyond 'discreet' and into 'downright sneaky' and are of no use to anyone of legal va**ng/smoking age.

Some of these are direct prefilled ni****ne delivery systems like your average disposable v**e and some of them are geared for disposable cartridges typically used for cannabis consumption.

Any v**e/smoke shop owner who wishes to truly do their part in curbing the underage va**ng crises would never sell these types of products. Alas I have seen these products in our community and want to make parents and school administrators aware of the fact that these products are out there.

Hey guys! We have enjoyed our weekend away but have ran into some unforeseen circumstances that are going to have me getting back a few hours later than unexpected.
