We finally got the chance to visit Mic's Kitchen. Their food truck at Mic’s Mini Market is an all time favorite so we had to visit the brick and mortar location. Pull up a chair and let’s talk about it.

Let’s start with the team… the service is top notch. No questions about it. We were greeted and seated immediately. A welcoming smile and a glass of ice water was much appreciated in the current heat.🥵

The vibe… laid back and casual. Most of the seating inside is high top with metal bar stools. Let me just say that if you’re wearing certain fabrics they are slippery. 😂 There are a few booths that look nice and comfy. Outside seating is plentiful. The artwork is very cool and comes with a unique back story. Please ask about Joe’s way if you get the chance.

Now for the really good stuff… we had some great appetizers. Crab fries were the favorite hands down. Fresh crispy fries with a delicious remoulade and loaded down with crab meat. $18.99 but the crab meat is abundant and it’s a good sized portion. We also enjoyed the glazed cornbread bites. They started disappearing before I could a picture so just know that the serving size is probably double what is in my picture. I could have made a meal out of the sweet crunchy cornbread. It’s soft and fluffy in the center but has a crunchy outside and sweet glaze. I enjoyed the contrasting textures. The special appetizer was crispy lemon pepper salmon bites. These crispy bites are deep fried with a crispy coating that gives it a salt and pepper style vibe. The lemon pepper is forefront on the palette and they, like everything else come to the table hot and fresh.
Y’all already know that Richard Reever had the usual Mic’s Special Burger and as per the norm it is out of this world. Oh the onion rings yall! 🤤Burnt end sandwich is everything that you want it to be and the sweet potato tots are a must try. Don’t miss out on those. The fish sandwich basket is huge and the fish itself was spot on. The kids meal chicken tender basket can’t be beat especially if your little one has a big appetite. It is real chicken, hand breaded and fried to perfection.

Overall we had a great experience. I loved the casual vibe and was made to feel like part of the family. The portions are plentiful here, you won’t leave hungry. There were 5 of us and we came home with 4 to go boxes! We will definitely be back but will be shooting for one of those boothes next time!
