Dr Marchitello with the Marion DuPont Equine Medical Center is examining her closely and Dr. Adams is rechecking her surgical sites.

🟠 EVERYTHING you need to know about this Saturday! 🟠

🧡🎃Fall Fest At The Ranch 2024! 🎃🧡

Sometimes google maps takes you to the house behind us- make sure it's 236 N Leipzig ave / if you do not have the ‘N’ in the address it won't take you to the ranch!

🛍️ Vendors - we will have someone parking you guys and telling you where to be! You can not just come in and go parking wherever you want. Someone will check you in!

Spectators- we will have over 80 vendors on Saturday! Come check out all your locally owned business! Everyone has put so much work into this event! Go on buy ! grab their cards and get some shopping in!

🐴Horse show - Spectators there are some spots to sit but if you are watching for a long time please bring your own chairs! We will have a spot for everyone to be able to watch-
Contestants - your post about all details will be posted tomorrow.

🚧 Parking and admission will be done when you drive in! You do not have to pay for parking but we do ask that everyone pay attention to the signs and let's make sure that we can get all the cars that we need too!

🐽 Petting zoo - our petting zoo will be open for everyone- it will not be run like we do for petting zoo weekends - no feeding the animals- if they come up to you you can touch them- this is $1 a person! All proceeds go back to the animals to make sure we can provide the best care for these animals!

🏇 $5 pony rides - pony rides are an extra $5 per ride. These will be hosted by Rockin
J ranch and the travel team! If you are interested in finding out more information on horseback riding, ask one of the walkers for more information!

🖌️ Face painting available prices may vary!

🚜 Hay rides- are a part of your admission! They will be guided around the whole ranch showing you all the property and the fun sights and scenes it has to cover!

🎨 Crafts - are part of your admission! Please only ONE per person! There will also be horse shoes to color as well!

🌮 Mexican Food Truck! Our favorite taco/nacho truck will be serving you guys this weekend!

🔥 Bonfire is free and there for everyone to use! Smores and hot chocolate will be for sale as well!

🎲 Family friendly games - ball box, pumpkin toss, jenga , Tic Tac toe, bowling and more!

👕 Rockin j hoodies will also be for sale at the front desk!

🧡 We are so excited for this! This is our third year open! I know we say it all the time but its crazy that two kids with a dream turned a sweet potato farm into a horse ranch! Now not only do our dreams come true but we get to make so many others smile and laugh! Please note that all proceeds to this event all goes right back into the animals as it gets into the hard winter months! We make sure all our animals are provided with top notch care but it isn't cheap to feed 40 mouths! So we appreciate everyone as a small business for helping us out! 🧡

THIS TRANSFORMATION TOOK ONLY SIXTY DAYS…

Sterling was deemed the most emaciated horse every single veterinarian who examined her had ever seen. We were told point blank that she only had a 10% chance of surviving a refeeding program.

The only thing really in her favor was that she was young. Only three years old and she already had suffered so much abuse…

Now, today, she looks like an expensively bred warmblood.

In. Just. Sixty. Days.

Refeeding a horse whose a legitimate 1 out of 9 on the equine body scale can take a lot of time. Especially when she’s battling severe autoimmune issues, organ failure, neuro deficits from her body not developing properly without proper nutrition and being virtually unhandled in an incredibly stressful situation.

Making the decision to feed her exclusively products while following the UC Davis Refeeding protocol was a no brainer. We’ve used this method countless times with verified results.

The Buckeye products are the best on the market and if you aren’t feeding them, you should switch. Sterlings body is still fighting something and despite that she continues to gain weight, gloss and shine.

I have harder news to share later today. I listened to my wife cry herself to sleep last night on the eve of uncertainty for Sterling but that’s another video to share…

I just want to remind us - all of us - of where we started with Sterling. I still remember back in July taking this photo and thinking this horse will never survive… it was the most egregious crime of animal suffering I personally had ever seen.

But she did.

And like I told Ally, she’ll beat the odds again.

She will.
