Good morning!! We sold out of minnows yesterday YAY!! So now that summer is over, we are closing the store temporarily to focus solely on finishing the restaurant remodel. We will re-open the store when we open the restaurant and it will have the same hours as the restaurant which will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner so tentatively 7 am to 9 pm.

We have a few exciting things in the works. I will share when I know more ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🙏🏿

Good Morning! We opened at 4:30 am this morning to serve big ol’ breakfast burritos to go and cream
cheese pastries for the guys in the fishing tournament so we will just stay open for the day now. We have 4 breakfast burritos left (bacon, sausage, steak, egg, cheese & fried potatoes) and 3 cream cheese pastries if anyone is hungry this morning 😋😋😋 We will also be opening tomorrow morning at 6 am to fulfill a very large minnow order for one of our best customers so we will stay open after that too. Stay cool friends ❤️❤️❤️

Good Morning! After much request we have made Chopped Italian Sammiches again!! We also have Chicken salad on Croissant!! And Cream Cheese Pastries. This is the last time we are making sammiches until the restaurant opens so come get some this weekend and see what Michelle (the mail lady) is talking about! 😉😉😉

Chopped Italian Sammiches are 6 inch subs for $7

Store hours are 11-7 Wednesdays through Sunday. Closed Monday and Tuesday

Also in case you didn’t see our other post, we have Moss Lake Honey in the store harvested right here by a local resident named Susan Wells and it is DELICIOUS!!

So after much discussion we have decided to set our hours to 11 am to 7 pm from now until we get the restaurant open. That is our
busiest hours so its the best option for us for now. After the restaurant is open we will probably set the store hours to match the restaurant hours. But for now, we want to make sure that our priority is focusing on finishing up the restaurant remodel. We are also not going to do sandwiches right now because we feel like it’s a distraction from our #1 goal of getting the restaurant open. We will be making popcorn and Cotton Candy this weekend now that we got a new WORKING cotton candy machine 😋😋😋 BUT, as always, if you see any of us outside at anytime and need anything, please feel free to stop in 😉😉😉

Good Morning! We tried 7 am to 7 pm last week but the weekday mornings are super slow. So we are going back to 11-7 for this week. We may open earlier for the weekend so I’ll post if we do. When The Kracker Shack at Moss Lake opens then The Bait Stop-N-Shop at Moss Lake will have the same hours as the restaurant but for now we are focusing all our efforts finishing up the last of the remodel on the restaurant so bear with us as we figure this all out and try to prioritize what is most important and best use of our time right now. We are nearing the end so it nice to see it all finally coming together. We normally have our kiddos here to help out but not for a few weeks so it’s just me now. So our store hours will be limited to when it is busiest for now.

Good Morning! We have some food options at The Bait Stop & Shop at Moss Lake for this holiday weekend 😋😋😋

We will be trying out our Cotton Candy machine this afternoon and seeing how that turns out 😉😉😉How hard can it be to make Cotton Candy right?

Mondays are our slowest day of the week so we are closing on Mondays and Tuesdays atleast for now until we get the restaurant remodel finished. *** Except holiday weekends like July 4th coming up. ** Opening the store a little late today ** I have a sick little girl that I have been up and down with all night so I don’t want to work in the store and take a chance on getting any customers sick. My son will open it and work it as soon as he gets here. I’m not sure exactly what time that will be so if the neon “OPEN” sign is lit up then he’s in there 😉😉😉 In the meantime if you need ice while we are closed then just stop in and get what you need and pay for it later.

Chopped Italian Subs are a new twist on an old favorite. They are stuffed FULL of HAM and SALAMI and PEPPERONI and PROVOLONE. Also lots of veggies like lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, and mild pepperoncini’s (also called banana peppers). Italian seasonings, Italian dressing, and some Mayo. All Chopped up together and stuffed into a sub so that you get all the ingredients and flavors in every single bite 👏🏻👏👏🏿

They come in 2 sizes! 6 inch for $7 and 12 inch for $13. We went up a little on the price for the 12 inch because Rocky felt like they needed more meat because of so much more bread so they are stuffed FULL now!!!!

I just wanted to let everyone know that we won't be re opening the store today. 😔😔😔 The storms we had this week flooded our whole restaurant and kitchen. And our brand new beautifully remodeled bathrooms 😔😔😔Water came in through the back walls. Up through the concrete floor seams. And down from the ceilings. It was everywhere. And it created a huge mess as we had to move everything to try to keep it from getting wet and ruined. I don't even know how long it will take us to get it all cleaned up again so we don't even have a re opening date as of right now. But hopefully not too much longer 🙏🏻🙏🙏🏻 and I will post and let everyone know as soon as we are getting close! ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for your continued support. We sure do appreciate the whole Moss Lake Community! Good News and more good news and some bad news 😔😔😔

Good news…FREE ICE!!!

We are giving away free ice. If you need some just stop and grab it. We are emptying the ice cooler so that we can turn it around to be situated so that the cooler doors open by the bait shop door. And also so we can insulate it to better keep ice cold in the summer. So please stop by and get what you need whenever you need it! Hopefully it will benefit some people over the holidays.

More Good News….The restaurant is opening soon ❤️❤️❤️

We have a date in mind and we will finalize it and post it soon! YAY!! BUT…

Bad news…we are temporarily closing The Bait Stop-N-Shop 😩😩😩

This is the slow time so we want to close up the store temporarily so we can focus on finishing the restaurant and not worry about the store for a month or so. Of course when we open the restaurant then we will also reopen the store.

Hello Friends! Update on Rocky….

*** We will remain closed for the rest of today but open back up
tomorrow morning at 7 am and be back on our regular schedule of 7 am to 7 pm Wednesday through Monday and closed Tuesdays ***

As many of you know Rocky had knee surgery last Friday. That was his second one since we bought this place. The first one was less intrusive and healed up fairly quickly even though he continued to work too hard and do way too much because so much is needing to be done here. The 2nd knee had a lot more damage than the first so it was much more painful. He began to experience intense pain and throbbing and numbness so the doctor ordered him to go directly to the emergency room asap concerned that it could be a blood clot which can be deadly. They did an ultrasound and Thank You God there are no blood clots ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🙏🏿 There is a large fluid filled cyst behind his knee that is causing pain and pressure that will need to be drained. Rocky can be a little stubborn 🤣🤣🤣 so getting him to rest and be still is a challenge but that is what he needs at the moment until he can get back in to the doctors next week to get it drained.

We are sorry for the inconvenience of closing without advance notice but thank you for understanding!!! We super appreciate our Moss Lake Residents and customers ❤️❤️❤️

Good Morning Moss Lake Community. We have had The Bait Stop-N-Shop open for a little over a month now from 7 am to 7 pm. We have been trying new things to see what the Moss Lake community wants us to have in our store. Please feel free to send us your suggestions as well.

We have also been trying to figure out our slowest day of the week so we can have a day to close and clean and restock and it’s looks like Tuesday is the best day to do that. So we will be closed on Tuesdays starting today and from now on. We will continue to be open Wednesday through Monday from 7 am to 7 pm.

We are enjoying getting to know the Moss Lake community. Thank you for supporting us!!! We are often outside painting or working after hours so please feel free to stop in anytime even if we are closed if you need something. If we are here, we would love to be of service to you.

Many of you who have come by the store have met my husband Rocky. He is having knee surgery on Friday so he will be down for a few days and I’ll be filling in for him at The Bait Stop-N-Shop. I’m not as good at catching the minnows as he is so please be patient with me as I attempt to master that very difficult task 😩😩😩🤣🤣🤣

P.S. We have heard from so many of you that you want the restaurant open ❤️❤️❤️ We apologize for the wait. There ended up being quite a bit more work needed to be done than we had originally thought so it’s taking longer than we had expected. But we are taking our time and doing it all right so it will be all done and nice when we open which will be very very soon!!
