Feb week 2: Rum cocktail
RUM PUNCH
INGREDIENTS
1 oz. Spiced rum
1 oz. White rum
2 oz. Pineapple juice
1 oz. Orange juice
1/2 oz. Lime juice
1/2 oz. Grenadine
HOW TO PREPARE
Put all ingredients into a shaker and shake until well mixed. Pour into an ice-filled glass.
Then garnish with an orange wedge and maraschino cherry.

Feb week 1: Rum cocktail
Mai Tai
INGREDIENTS
2 ounces rum
¾ ounce lime juice
¾ ounce orgeat syrup
½ ounce orange liqueur
HOW TO PREPARE
Combine all ingredients in a shaker. Add crushed ice and shake vigorously, until shaker is frosted over. Fill a double rocks glass with fresh crushed ice.
Strain cocktail into glass.
Garnish with a pineapple slice and a cherry

Feb week 4: Vodka cocktail
Lemon Drop Shots
INGREDIENTS
2 parts vodka
1 part lemon juice
A splash of simple syrup (recipe below)
ice cubes
HOW TO PREPARE
Rub a piece of lemon slice around the rim of the shot glass and then immediately dip into sugar that’s spread out on a small plate. Set aside.
Add ice, vodka, lemon juice, and simple syrup into a shaking glass.
Shake well.
Strain mix into shot glass and garnish with lemon slice. Serve and enjoy!
You can double this recipe (or more) if you have friends over.

If you do not happen to have simple syrup on your bar, here is how to make:
Simple Syrup
2 cups sugar
1 cup water
Simmer on the stove until thoroughly combined. Put into a jar and put a lid on it to store in the refrigerator for future use.

Feb week 3: Vodka cocktail
Cranberry Vodka Cocktail
INGREDIENTS
1 oz vodka
4 1/2 oz cranberry juice
Dash of lime juice
Dash of orange juice
HOW TO PREPARE
Pour all ingredients into a glass 1/2 full of ice. garnish with a a lime or orange wedge wedge. Serve with a straw for stirring and sipping.

Feb week 2: Vodka Cocktails
Chi Chi (A vodka version of a pina colada)
INGREDIENTS
2 oz. Vodka
4 oz. Pineapple juice
1 oz. Cream of coconut
Garnish: Pineapple wedge
HOW TO PREPARE
Add all of the ingredients into a shaker filled with ice and shake vigorously. Pour into a glass with crushed ice and garnish with a pineapple wedge.

Feb week 1: Vodka Cocktails
Kissed Caramel Apple Cider
INGREDIENTS
1.5 oz Smirnoff Kissed Caramel
4 oz Apple Cider
Apple Slices
HOW TO PREPARE
Fill glass with ice.
Combine Smirnoff Kissed Caramel and apple cider.
Stir well and garnish with apple slices.

Jan. Week 4 Bourbon Cocktail:
Bourbon Sidecar
2 oz Bourbon
1 oz Triple Sec
1 oz lemon juice
lemon twist
Take lemon and moisten rim of an old fashioned glass. Coat rim with fine sugar. In a Shaker with ice combine bourbon triple Sec and lemon juice. Shake and strain into the old fashioned glass. Garnish with a lemon twist

Jan. Week 3 Bourbon Cocktail:
Artist Special
1/2 oz grenadine
1/2 oz lemon juice
1 oz Sherry
1 oz blended Scotch ( such as Monkey Shoulder or Johnny Walker Black)
Add ice and shake. Use a strainer to pour over a full glass of ice in a cocktail scoop glass. Use a lemon peel to rub on the edge of the glass and squeeze a little of the lemon oil into the glass, Then garnish with the lemon peel and enjoy.

Jan. Week 2 Bourbon Cocktail:
Raspberry Rye Sour
3/4 oz raspberry syrup
3/4 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 oz of your favorite Rye whiskey or bourbon
Add ice and shake. Use a strainer to pour over a full glass of ice in a double rocks glass. Garnish with a raspberry on a garnish stick and enjoy.

Jan. Week 1 Bourbon Cocktail: THE GOLD RUSH
In a shaker add:
3/4 oz honey syrup (3 parts honey 1 part warm water, shake well to combine)
3/4 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 oz of your favorite bourbon
Add ice and shake. Use a strainer to pour over a single block of ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with a lemon peel and enjoy

This year we will be featuring a specific type of cocktail each month. Starting out in January our cocktails will be bourbon or whiskey cocktails. I hope you enjoy the recipes.
