WISH - Women Inspiring Supporting & Helping

WISH - Women Inspiring Supporting & Helping We Inspire, Support & Help non-profits and organizations with donations through our time and money. In such, they formed what has become WISH.

WISH was founded in early 2010 by Kathy Schultze of State Farm Insurance and Meghan Butler of Ceresville Mansion. After discussing networking opportunities within the community the two felt that women should be able to come together to help one another expand their business without the bylaws, and weekly commitments. In 2015, member Melissa Lentz was given the leadership to manage WISH. The main f

ocus changed to be community driven, to support each other along with other organizations and non-profits. Networking is still a priority, while giving back to our community. We are now an official 501c3 organization. WISH meets The first Thursday morning of every month at Canapés in Frederick. In addition, we have a monthly evening outing. We welcome anyone who would like to join. There are no requirements, other than buying your breakfast and bringing various needed items for the evening events. For more information, please send us a private message.

WISH Annual Vision Board Night! was FULFILLING! We look forward to and enjoy this evening together at the beginning of each year. A vision board is a tool used for visualization and goal setting. A collage of images, words and affirmations that represent the things we want to achieve, acquire or experience in life.

The purpose of a vision board is to create a visual representation of your goals and desires, helping to clarify your intentions and keep them at the forefront of your mind.

We spoke about regularly viewing our vision boards, to reinforce our goals and intentions, to help us stay focused, motivated and aligned with our personal visions. We like to think of it as “manifesting success” and personal growth.

Sending a big THANK YOU to Michele, Amanda, and Tatiana of South Mountain Overlook for hosting us in their BEAUTIFUL Event Space.

THANK YOU Heartly House and The Frederick Rescue Mission for participating in this very SPECIAL event WISH Festive Firs Tree Auction 🎄✨

HEARTLY HOUSE
Our tree name ~ It begins with us
Our holiday tree represents an open door, a warm and inclusive welcome for all seeking refuge. For 45 years, Heartly House has stood as a beacon of safety and sanctuary for survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual assault, child abuse, and human trafficking. In considering Heartly House’s mission to end domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, and human trafficking, each hand-engraved ornament on this tree represents how each and every person can begin to fulfill that mission: hoping for a better world, showing peace towards our neighbors, living with love for self and others, finding joy even in the darkest of life’s moments, and believing that a world without abuse is possible.

Heartly House provides hope to those in their darkest hours, offering light to guide individuals on their healing journey and paving a path toward a brighter, empowered future. This tree serves as a symbol of the unwavering support, resilience, and hope that Heartly House embodies for the community. Through its mission, Heartly House continues to ensure that every survivor has access to safety, resources, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives with dignity and strength. Each ornament reminds us that together, we can create a world where everyone feels welcome, safe, and valued.

THE FREDERICK RESCUE MISSION
When considering the theme, we went to a group of lovely ladies that we enjoy spending time with and asked them what they thought would be a tree theme to communicate the story of Christmas. We had an engaging conversation, and we landed on a Nativity Tree.

What we do at the Mission is to give folks good news not just about how we can help them in difficult times but also to share the love of the Lord with them. That is the story of Christmas. We know that Jesus came to proclaim good news to the poor, to proclaim freedom for the prisoners, and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free. It is our desire to help spread the good news to those seeking help.

THANK YOU Woman to Woman Mentoring, SHIP of Frederick County, & Blessings in a Backpack, Frederick Chapter for participating in this very SPECIAL event WISH Festive Firs Tree Auction 🎄✨

Woman to Woman Mentoring
We present to you the Women Empowerment Christmas Tree
Our tree is a celebration of the strength, beauty, and potential of every woman. This visually stunning holiday centerpiece promotes confidence, unity, and empowerment. A combination of soft pinks, whites, and blush tones creates a warm, inviting atmosphere complimented by soft white lights, sparkly snowflakes and inspirational ornaments featuring empowering words.
We chose our theme to truly embody the mission of Woman to Woman Mentoring. Inspired by our main logo, this 3-D version represents the growth and resilience of all women. It also represents our inspiration for connection, empathy, and care.

SHIP of Frederick County
Student Homelessness Initiative Partnership (SHIP) of Frederick County is proud to showcase a tree representing our partnership with the schools and community! SHIP's mission is to build capacity in students from ages kindergarten through 24 to reduce housing insecurity, homelessness, and their impact by breaking the systemic barriers facing Frederick County youth.

Blessings in a Backpack, Frederick Chapter
Our tree’s theme is “Giving Back.” Our tree, artfully decorated by our Frederick volunteers, is dedicated to the Blessings in a Backpack Frederick community of Volunteers and children that we serve. Our volunteers give back their time and energy to feed the children of Frederick county over the weekend each and every day. The tree is adorned with our handcrafted “Giving Blessings in a Back-pack Frederick” ornaments, each one special in their own way, just like our community. These ornaments are created using origami techniques and represent the uniqueness of the children we serve. There are 40 origami ornaments, each one signifies 100 of the nearly 4,000 children we feed each week. The tree is also highlighted with reds and whites to represent the colors of Blessings in a Backpack.

"Tea Tree" – A Festive Tribute to British Tea Tradition and Holiday Comfort
Our themed Christmas tree, "Tea Tree," is inspired by the timeless tradition of tea, a symbol of comfort, connection and serenity celebrated around the world, but especially cherished in British culture. During the holidays, much like afternoon tea, we gather with loved ones to share warmth, stories and laughter. This tree honors those cozy moments, bringing the elegance and charm of British tea rituals into the heart of the season.

We chose this theme to celebrate the history and cultural significance of tea, particularly its role in British heritage as a time-honored tradition of relaxation and connection. Just as tea offers a moment of peace during a busy day, this tree reminds us to pause, savor and embrace the magic of the holiday season.

Let the "Tea Tree" bring a little British flair to your festivities, symbolizing togetherness, tranquility, and the timeless tradition of sharing tea with loved ones. Cheers to a merry and cozy holiday season!

THANK YOU Sleep in Heavenly Peace for participating in this very SPECIAL event WISH Festive Firs Tree Auction 🎄✨ 🎁

Sleep in Heavenly Peace is an organization composed of locations throughout the United States, with the major goal of providing children with the materials to sleep safely and comfortably. Each chapter throughout the nation of this non-profit organization continuously holds bed-building and delivery events in which the workforce substantially consists of passionate and dedicated volunteers. During bed builds, volunteers collaborate in a high-spirited environment, working in assembly lines to carefully construct the beds. Bed deliveries can contain some of the most beautiful experiences, as volunteers go to the recipient’s houses to personally install beds, blankets, and pillows, and watch the childrens’ reactions.

The name of this tree is Sweet Dreams
We intend the theme of this tree to represent a safe and innocent haven where childrens’ only worry at night is what their dreams will be about, capturing the essence of the “Heavenly Peace” aspect of the organization’s name. At SHP, we believe all children deserve a sound and comfortable space to sleep at night, and preach the motto “No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in Our Town!”. We value high-quality sleep because we know it is a vital aspect of childhood, leading to better growth and development, greater performance in school, and overall finer quality of life.

Rheahana and I (Daniela), the decorators of the tree, are two high school juniors who are passionate about our community. We lead an SHP club at our school in which we promote its goals and have made blankets to donate. I have participated in many bed-building and delivery events for SHP, which encouraged me to start this club at my school. As an active member of the community, I volunteer every week at Frederick Health Hospital, aiding in patient discharges and visitor transport. A few years back, I built and donated a Little Library to Waverly Elementary School as a part of my Girl Scout Silver Award Project to promote easier accessibility to reading among children. Rheahana is also an active member of the community, as she manages the Urbana High School volleyball team and is a junior volunteer coach for the non-profit organization, Girls on the Run. She has also demonstrated her commitment to leadership through her class presidency every year since the 8th grade. We are both deeply passionate about making a difference in our very own communities.
