✨MEET JENN RYAN✨
-How do people know you? I'm Mike & Debbie's eldest daughter; Christina & Jessica's big sister; Isaac, Abigail, Jack, Ridley & Milou's auntie; & Eric's life partner. I work at Jesse Williams Law & Advocacy Center in Benzonia; I volunteer with Grow Benzie & am on the leadership team for The Art Guild at Grow Benzie; I'm a trustee with the Benzonia Public Library & on the board for the Isaac Julian Legacy Foundation; I am one of the women who opened Kindred Waters Collective in Beulah where I teach yoga; I book music for St. Ambrose Cellars; & I am a crossfitter & yoga teacher at CrossFit Dunes in Frankfort.

-What is your favorite spot in Benzie County? Old Indian Trail out to Lake Michigan - this trail holds sacred space - it's been a source of refuge for years. Whether trail running or dog walking alone, hiking with a sister or group of friends, the roots have caught my footsteps, the trees have held our secrets; the water has washed away the sweat & tears of so many personal journeys.

-What cause are you choosing to support? The Isaac Julian Legacy Foundation in honor of my nephew Isaac who we lost in 2014 to su***de. Our fund supports an annual scholarship at Frankfort High School, su***de awareness/prevention activities - supporting training that allows our board to go out into the world & potentially be of use/service within the framework of awareness/prevention as well as harnessing & cultivating positive coping mechanisms & awareness techniques, sponsoring a speaker to educate/perform for local teens, sponsoring someone or items for an important event (ex: we buy "Shine On" basketballs for the annual Harvest Gathering b-ball tourney that happens at the b-ball court we improved in honor of Isaac), etc.
