Happy almost weekend Monkies. While we had the engraver here last week we went ahead and got ready for 4th of July. We engraved a limited number of our Woodford Personal Selection with U.S.A on the bottles. Won't find anywhere else so if want to be in the spirit for the 4th and everyday come and grab one while supplies last. God Bless America! (More than ever!)

Okay so a bunch of you have been in bugging the absolute s*& # out of me to get these in. Well the Malibu ready to drinks have arrived. These are one liter of pure fun and debauchery. These things are 25 proof so they pack a nice punch for well - punch! Pineapple Bay Breeze, Strawberry Daiquiri (bet you can't spell Daiquiri without spellcheck either) and Rum Punch. They also come in cardboard so very versatile. Come and get 'em.

Great trip over the weekend to Louisville & Nashville for Sauce Monkey Spirits. We were one of just seven stores in the entire state of SC selected to pick an exclusive single barrel of Old Forester bourbon. The bottles will not be in for several months but will be well worth the wait. Somehow I survived (or did I?) taking Thomas Ellis and Jim Schill along for the ride!!!! We also made stops at Woodford and Jack Daniels. Thank you to Dave Schumacher and the folks at Breakthru Beverage South Carolina for a great itinerary!

Hey Monkies!!! Many of you, as well as me, are patiently awaiting the next shipment of Blackberry Crown Royal. I am pretty sure I've found something that may be - I said may be - even better than the Crown. Steel Feathers Blackberry Whiskey doesn't have the "brandy" finish that the crown does. If jonesing for the Crown to return give this South Carolina made juice a try. I haven't lead you Wrong - YET!!!

Thank you to all who participated in our month long Blanton's raffle. Met many new customers and we hope gained a few new friends. The winners selected were a combination of in-store entries and Facebook Shares and Likes. The response was fantastic so you winners are lucky little monkies!!! You all heard about the lottery via social media so I am going to work under the assumption that you followed our page as per my instructions in the video posted last month. Just released - Chicken C**k Small Batch. Easily one of the smoothest 100 proof bourbons I've tried. Does not sip like a 100 proofer. I don't crow about many bourbons but this one is worth crowing about. (Pardon the pun!)

After 30+ years in the sports broadcasting business I had finally reached a point where either the business had passed me by or vice versa - regardless I, like many, have always had a burning desire to open and run my own business. Many people open a business due to a passion for a given hobby, interest or desire. My wife Karen and I won’t lie to you and say we have had a life-long passion to sell liquor - but it is a subject we are well acquainted with!!! Being 25 years residents of Fort Mill, we know the area very well and have seen and lived the explosive growth that has taken place and is currently underway in our area. Living in the Regent Park development for 25 years we often have said to each other, “What a pain in the ass it is to go get a bottle of booze over by Carowinds or at the cluster on Hwy. 51!” So for the past year we have frequented the Springfield Town Center (aka - where the Harris Teeter is) and came to the conclusion that many on this side of the metroplex would/could benefit from the convenience of buying their spirits within a mile and a half of the STC. Regent Park, Springfield, Springview Meadows & Carolina Orchards developments are all within a mile and a half of this store - so soon thousands of our neighbors will no longer have to fight the maddening Highway 21, 51 and Carowinds traffic to grab some h***h. The store is currently under development and we are targeting a New Years opening. And what exactly is a “Sauce Monkey” you ask? Well in a nutshell a Sauce Monkey is a lifestyle. Somebody who enjoys a little “Sauce” and at the same time lives life to it’s fullest! I’ve got a sneaky feeling you are already a Sauce Monkey and didn’t even know it!!!
