YOU! Have got a few days to visit 832 Avenue G where one of Fort Madison's most historic downtown businesses is closing its doors after more than 100 years of "putting butts on seats".
The bar, cabinets, etc. were salvaged by the Faeth family from the Pabst Blue Ribbon Pavilion after the 1936-37 World's Fair in Chicago. It was shipped via ATSF in three box cars and reassembled for the W. R. Faeth Pool Hall and Bar.
Take the opportunity to admire the interior with the molded tin ceiling and interior before it may be to late.
We know Caitlin Clark has put thousands of "butts in seats" at Iowa and in the WNBA and may be the MVP - but right now Billy Bob Faeth may be our MVP - Most valuable proprietor as those 10 seats have also had thousands of "butts in seats".
Your season tickets to visit Fort Madison's MVP will expire soon so stop by. Open Wed-Friday, 9am-6pm, if you have given up alcohol and to***co Billy Bob still handles soda!
History brought to your living room or den by the NLCHS or by visiting the NLCHS museums - come visit us!

Remember online bidding doesn’t start until August 20th. They have just begun the process of getting everything out of our place, much less, having it all cataloged.
We are still open for drinks and ci**rs!

Big day today! Prepping for the Faeths Cigar Store Liquidation Auction that will end September 16th. Faeth’s celebrated their 100th Anniversary last month as a 3 generation family owned business . Items will be selling both onsite and at the Fraise Auction Center. Online bidding catalogs will be available mid August. The bar will still be open now through rodeo, so be sure to stop in and see Bill and family!

Open House/Inspection: Friday, September 13th from 9:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Fraise Auction & Real Estate will have sales representatives at each location in this time frame. Locations are approximately 30 miles apart from one another.
