We laid rest to our 13.5 yrs old Jack on Thursday at 4pm. It’s been a torturous week as we tried to give Jack the best last few days and honor the strong, intelligent, and kind family member he always was to us. He was strong, stubborn, and graceful until the very end. There could never be enough time and memories with a best friend like Jack. Dogs are too good for this world, which is why we only have them for so long. I often thought Jack was more friend and confidante than dog. He held all my secrets, respected all my tears, and celebrated all my triumphs. He was a loving sibling to Camille, Ella, and Javier. He was the very best partner and best friend to LJ. She misses him deeply but is honoring his memory in strength and love (and enjoying many pup cups and marrow bones). He was Dave’s best friend, partner in crime, keeper of master mind biz secrets, and possible writer behind all Dave’s soulful lyrics over the last decade. As you may imagine, we are lost but trying to honor Jack’s memory the best we can. I’ve said through deep loss many times before to remember to live each day.
We know Jack was beloved by so many and this news is absolutely heartbreaking. We feel so fortunate to have been able to share Jack and his amazing spirit and energy with so many the past dozen years. Thank you for embracing Jack over the years at both Mia's and Western Post.
At this time, we are distraught and ask everyone to please respect our loss and privacy. While we appreciate all love and support, it’s extremely difficult for us to speak of the loss of Jack at this time.
Thank you all for every kindness towards Jack over the years. We will never forget the love and kindness extended towards our family.

Western Post was burglarized sometime in the wee hours of this morning. No one was hurt and what was lost and/or broken will soon be replaced. This wasn’t the Wednesday morning Dave and I expected, but we sure are grateful for all the love and helping hands we’ve received putting the shop back together.
The Post is open…just with a slightly remodeled door for now. Come by and say hi. Friendly faces are always welcome.

You know it is going to be a good day when I can get Jeff Thorsett to do a photo op. Gateway Plaza rocked our fundraiser Friday and raised a total of $2,430 for the Flg Bike Party 6. Last night, May 28th, Flagstaff was devastated by the news of 6 cyclists involved in a traffic accident. One community member passed at the scene. Four are hospitalized. The goal of this page is to raise money for these community members to use as necessary for their hospital bills, bills due to missed work, however they so choose.
We also encourage the use of this page for words of love, encouragement, and support for the victims of this horrific accident. We ask for this page to be one of love, respect, and compassion.
