A note from Barbara, the owner of Cigar Haven:

The end of a chapter in Cigar Haven.

Gene Burt made Cigar Haven happen.

He had been a customer for years and he had always promised that one day having my own cigar store would come to pass. By golly, it did happen.

He picked the location and here we are today celebrating 14 years of business.

He may have raised his eyebrows a few times but never questioned my decisions and was always supportive and now I must share with you his passing.

How many guys like that exist?

Gene was incredible. He was gracious and you always accepted his counsel. Losing my friend and security blanket is tough and I do have those moments of complete anguish.

I mourn with his wife Marilyn and two sons Tim and Brian.
A Marine, husband, father ,grandfather, businessman and Cigar smoker - - Gene will be missed.
