This Earth Day🌎, we want to recognize Mijenta Tequila for their holistic approach to sustainability! Throughout all stages of production—from growing and harvesting the agave, to bottling and packaging, Mijenta is committed to carbon-neutrality and minimizing environmental impact.

Since 2020, Mijenta has cut back their CO2 emissions by more than 34 million tonnes, and supports programs that help local farmers and producers create biodiversity.

Every bottle of Mijenta is created from locally sourced glass in Guadalajara with biodegradable or recycled packaging elements sourced within Mexico. The labels are created from agave waste—called bagasse—and recycled coffee bean bags. The boxes are made lightweight with 100% post-consumer recycled paper.

Finally, Mijenta is one of the few tequila producers to earn B Corp certification, which is only given to companies who meet stringent criteria for social responsibility, corporate transparency and environmental efforts.
