DNR License Machine Smoked -

We currently can not issue Fishing Licenses or Shelter Tags. Our system died this morning. A new one is on the way and they will get it to us as soon as possible.

I will post an update as soon we receive and install the new one.

TOYS FOR TOTS 2024 -

The other day I was sharing a personal story with one of our Store Managers and I feel blessed to be able to share it with you here. This happened at our store and I feel it embodies the spirit of the Holidays.

“Yesterday (December 2017) I had the opportunity to witness one of the most heartwarming and selfless acts of kindness and generosity in my many years.

A van pulled up in front of our store and parked in an odd way blocking our front doors. Within a minute or two, a young man came in with an arm load of toys for our Toys for Tots drop box. As he leaves the building, his Grandma came in and starts to explain that her three grandchildren have been mowing and doing yard work all summer. In comes the young man with another arm load of toys. Grandma continues, saying that each of her Grandchildren saved $50 and decided to donate it all to those in need. I’m not sure how many loads he carried in, but those Grandchildren’s hard earned savings loaded the box up over the top. The smile on his face as he made trip after trip will warm my heart and put a tear in my eye for years to come.

My deepest heartfelt thanks to Grandma and her three Grandchildren for a memory that will last me forever”.

If you would like to help brighten a Child’s Christmas by putting a gift under their tree, please drop off a new, unwrapped, gift in our drop box at Lake Country Convenience & Bait. Donations can be dropped off through business close, 5:00 pm, on Sunday December 15th.

For a quick eye opener in the morning, or just something to help keep you alert through the day, I have hot coffee, Red Bull, Monster, NOS, Rockstar, Gatorade and plenty of energy drinks. Our isles are stacked full of snacks, sandwiches, jerky, candy bars, and sunflower seeds. With all the different flavors of seeds, they should be a food group all on their own. For something hot to eat, we carry single serve soups, stews, and rice bowls that you can pop into our microwave for a warm pick me up. If you need to reload, I carry both 12 & 20 gauge slugs.
We open at 6:00 am each morning.
