We are prepared for the rain at Rooted In Wine! You'll have your pick of comfortable chairs and plenty of light next time you stop in for a glass of wine, as we have opened our new indoor space in the shop! Blu has tested every resting spot, but the big lounge chair is his favorite. Come by and see for yourself!

Blu loves welcoming fellow furry friends into the garden! Have a peek at Blu and his new pal basking in the sun while you read about this week's featured wines.

The Rosé: The 2023 vintage of Chateau Campuget rosé is a beautifully balanced, dry French rosé from the Costieres du Gard in the southern Rhône Valley. Here the blend is Grenache and Syrah making for a delicious, light to medium-bodied rosé with beautiful fruit and balance.

The White: The Archery Summit Pinot Gris from Willamette Valley Oregon is
wildly approachable. This pinot gris touts bright citrus notes, a clean minerality, and a playful acidity. Dried flowers and citrus zest fill out the nose while the palate reminds of fresh pear, kiwi, and lime.

We will be sipping cider from Barn Door Ciderworks, sampling cheese from Blue Ridge Mountain Creamery, and chatting with the local entrepreneurs. Between cider tastings, cheese tastings, and wine tastings, we're confident you'll find something you love.

Blu is telling everyone!

Next Wednesday, September 18th, from 5-7pm, we'll be partnering with Barn Door Ciderworks for a cider tasting! Stop in to celebrate the coming of autumn with sips of barrel-aged, dry cider and a chat with the cider makers themselves. To top it off, the ciders on offer will be paired with a selection of cheeses from Blue Ridge Mountain Creamery, another Fairview business. Local and delicious - what more could you want? The wine bar will operate as normal, so there's sure to be something for everyone.

Blu is back this week with two more beautiful wines! The wine garden continues to bloom - Blu's favorite shady spot is under the hydrangeas. Which spot is your favorite?

The Red: Chehalem 2022 Willamette Pinot Noir is a perfect example of what Oregon Pinot Noir should taste like. From its red & black cherry driven fruit profile and mild tannins, this medium bodied wine is a delightful example of Pinot from one of the most popular regions for its production.

The White: Bennett Valley Bin 5757 Chardonnay is from the Bennett Valley Appellation, a specific site within the greater Sonoma Valley. Here, the fruit is bright with notes of apple, pear and lemon zest. Being un-oaked, you get the full experience of this beautiful Chardonnay fruit.
