Open Thursday and Friday This Week!

Ok alright, I guess I cannot go quiet into the night.
I hear you, some of you still have gift cards, and some of you really want to come visit us one last time. SO, we are doing 2 final nights this week.

Thursday 10/24 & Friday 10/25 both the shop and restaurant will be open 4-9pm. For our final encore we are rocking a Meridians Classics Menu (yes the burger is back, see menu). Plus a complimentary dish of hot sauce to accompany the meal (see peppers in pic). I've already shut the phone lines down so no reservations. Just come and shop and dine and party and have a good time.

Now light this post up like you did the last one so everyone knows. Y'all are too much, seriously, love you Central Maine!

If we do open again, it will not be Meridians.
That ship has landed somewhere in a far off universe.
Thank you for all the adventures and stories along the way.
I'm going to take some time to ruminate on all of them.
Hopefully I will be able to share them again with you some day.
For now, go support good food....

Fall Flavors Tasting: Wine, Beer, and Cheese! A great time of year for dark and barrel aged beers, rustic and gamey wines, and funky, sassy, gooey cheeses. Come taste all of these tomorrow 4:30-7:30pm at the Shop. As always, free and open to the public (and you're welcome to stay for dinner after!)

Fall is the perfect time of year to enjoy delicious live-rind cheeses. 🧀 Medium-soft to incredibly oozing delicacies that have a living rind allowing them to keep aging to perfection. A Farmhouse French Brie Nangis, a beer-washed octoberfest cheese in Drunken Alice, sheep’s milk Tomme Brulee, and to top it off the oh-so-sensual impossibly creamy spruce bark wrapped bloomy rind Harbison from Jasper Hill. All freshly stocked this week. Pair with gamey, rustic, country style wines and hearty hand-torn breads.

Join us this Saturday, 4-7pm for a free wine tasting with our friend Randy Mclain from Wicked Wines & Great Beers. Randy is bringing us the best of the best from both Germany and Austria and will have a range of unique wines for you to try at the shop. We hope to see you there- as always the tasting is free and open to the public 🍷

Dancing Crow 🐦‍⬛ wine tasting 🍷 Thursday 4-7pm at the shop! As always, free and open to the public!

Dancing Crow Vineyard is a family owned and operated producer in Lake County California. All of their 50 vineyards are certified sustainable. The clean air of their high elevation vineyards and the influence of Clear Lake lend themselves perfectly to the cultivation of their flagship grape: Sauvignon Blanc. Their Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel will also be making an appearance! These wines are a far cry from typical California juice, Dancing Crow is committed to producing their wines in a French style, ensuring the acidity stays intact and showcasing the minerality of their property’s volcanic soils.

Local bluefin tartare with gochujang cukes and purple daikon- a nice cool dish for what turned out to be a beautiful, sunny day! On the menu tonight along with our cheese and charcuterie boards, some delicious tacos, a green veggie curry, fried chicken and more! And don’t forget to stop by the port tasting we’re having on the shop side for “dessert.”

It’s Port tasting time, everyone! Ally just returned from Portugal 🇵🇹 where she got to visit the Duoro Valley and the Port house, and we are celebrating with a pop up tasting this Saturday, Sept 14, at the shop from 4-7! Come learn about what makes port so special- we’ll have a ruby, tawny, a reserve Branco, and a very special 20 year tawny for you to try!

Some like to stop and smell the roses, but yesterday we slowed down, enjoyed the sun, and stopped to smell (and taste!) some wine! Our friend Randy from .wines came through Fairfield with a grand sampling of some fantastic wines from Austria, Germany, and beyond. Preparing for a German and Austrian wine tasting this September- stay tuned! In the meantime, we are ready for you this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, shop and bar, 11-8! ☀️ 🍷

Eeny, meeny, miney… moo? Meinklang is back! For all who requested, we now have the red, white, and rosé varieties here waiting for you. Golden hour in the shop makes everything look pretty but these fine wines are looking especially fine! 👀 🍷 ☀️

Wine Tasting at the Meridians Shop this Saturday 8/17 from 4-7pm!

Italian wines from small and undiscovered, family-owned wineries with Rick and Mira of Areni Imports. Saturday afternoon and evening Rick and Mira will be showcasing some phenomenal Italian wines from throughout the country for your enjoyment! This is a unique opportunity to hear directly from two people who personally travel abroad to find the winemakers, get to know them in their fields, and bring their fine wines to Maine! As always, this tasting is free and open to the public. We hope to see you Saturday!
