Today’s takes us across the border to the city where Juan Gabriel, “el Divo de Juarez,” grew up and always held dear to his heart.❤️ The iconic Noa Noa nightclub, which inspired his famous song “Noa Noa,” was located on Avenida Benito Juárez, just steps from the Paso Del Norte International Bridge. This is where Juan Gabriel began his artistic journey, singing under the name Adán Luna. At just 16, he sang at the Noa Noa, making $5 a day.
Juan Gabriel quickly rose to fame, becoming a beloved Latin legend. In his early 20s, still at the start of his career, he lost his mother, inspiring him to write “Amor Eterno” as a heartfelt tribute. The song, which appeared in Rocio Dúrcal’s album “Canta A Juan Gabriel,” became an anthem for those grieving the loss of a loved one.❤️🩹 As for the Noa Noa, the nightclub was destroyed by a fire caused by a short circuit in 2004, and today, it stands as only a parking lot.
