Perfect whiskey for the current conditions!

A Midwinter Night’s Dram from High West Distillery; rich dark fruit highlights a pungent nose of blood orange, baked apples, and plums, situated next to buttered popcorn, toasted marshmallows, pecans, and strawberry jam. Creamy and light on the palate, cherry ice cream, dried herbs, and honey. The finish is long and flavorful, with waves of vanilla cream and notes of coffee and chocolate.

Our final deal of the 12 Days of Deals is the Boen Reserve Pinot Noir! Scarlet red with glimmers of garnet in the glass. Aromas of ripe blackberry, boysenberry, and tart cherry intertwine with subtle hints of to***co and cocoa powder. in the glass. Once on the palate, vibrant flavors of very ripe boysenberry, blueberry, and plum pie are complemented by layers of rosemary and cocoa. These flavors are balanced by firm tannins that carry through to a long, structured, and mouthwatering finish.

📣 A Message from Taqueria Don Pedro

It’s with both gratitude and a touch of sadness that we share some important news about the future of our beloved Taqueria. Our cherished chef and founder, Edelia, has decided to slow down and embrace a new chapter: spending more precious time with her grandchild. As she says, "Childhood passes in the blink of an eye," and she’s making the beautiful choice to savor these moments.

We will begin a transition phase, and our space will welcome a new venture led by Village Wine. While this marks the end of an era, it’s also the beginning of something exciting for our community.

Chef Edelia may return part-time, sharing her love for cooking in new ways, but for now, she’s embracing this heartfelt decision. We thank you for your continued love and support over the years.

Stay tuned for updates as we approach this transition, and join us to celebrate everything that has made Taqueria Don Pedro so special.

Day 11 of the 12 Days of Deals! The Raymond Chardonnay has aromas of white peach and lemon citrus with subtle scents of Asian Pear spring from the glass. This Chardonnay has a nice weight on the palate, with flavors of Gravenstein apple, stone fruit, and nuances of vanilla and Meyer lemon. Juicy with bright acidity, this wine is balanced with a lingering finish.

Day 9 of the 12 Days of Deals! The Quest Cabernet Franc Blend is an exciting and unique wine. This blend displays a beautiful herbaceous nose of anise seed, warm chocolate and fresh mint. On the palette flavors of black fruit, dark chocolate, and slightly earthy nuance of leather are present. On the finish, soft fine tannins leave a light coat on the palette and mingle with a delicate touch of acidity that balance the wine allowing the flavors to linger.

Our final Wines of the Week in the Holiday Table series! Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the oldest California Cabs still going, and the Sea Sun Chardonnay is a recent classic Cali Chard from Chuck Wagner. Merry Christmas!

Our two picks for your holiday table! This week, we have a red and white from the same producer, La Valentina in the Abruzzo region, Italy. Pecorino is a newly "rediscovered" white wine grape and their Montepulciano d’Abruzzo is a perfect expression of the varietal.
