$200.00 donation made last week to Allied Arts OKC!

Allied Arts was formed in 1971 as a way for the community to support and engage with central Oklahoma’s cultural groups.

Their annual campaign raises critical funding for nonprofit arts organizations throughout the community.

Funding helps local arts organizations with their operating, program and educational budgets. Allied Arts also helps organizations keep ticket prices low – and offer free events – so more people community-wide can experience the arts.

Creating hands-on arts education for schoolchildren across the state is also possible because of campaign funding.

Earlier this May, our customers donated $200.00 to Our Savior Lutheran Church’s meal drive program!

Our Savior Lutheran, Guthrie, hosts a weekly food-giveaway currently on Wednesday afternoons. They have been holding these events for over 10 years. Last year 1577 people signed in, representing (with their families) almost 3500!

We made a $200.00 donation to the Bethel foundation recently, on behalf of our customers!

Since 2004, the Bethel Foundation has existed as a vessel for God to provide for those in need. They take in donations, process them, and give them back out to anyone who needs them, for free. From their kids' camps to their car program, from clothes to food, their mission is to give more than they receive.

Special Care serves children, with and without special needs, through year-round, high-quality early childhood education, specialized care and on-site therapeutic services.

Their mission is to nurture all children with and without special needs in safe, inclusive and supportive environments through education, therapeutic intervention and community acceptance.

Good evening all!

Wanted to share one of the films that were filmed in the store.

“Stick Up” was shot in the Short Stop a few years ago. Was a fun project and we’re able to now share link to that movie.

It was a short film, about 10 minutes long and was the winner of the best short film award for the DeadCenter film festival.

A recent $200.00 donation was made to The American Legion.

The American Legion is built on a promise from men and women who swore with their lives to defend and protect the United States through military service. The promise begins at enlistment, grows through training and discipline in the U.S. Armed Forces and continues after discharge, as veterans in service to community, state and nation.

In times of crisis, The American Legion steps into the turmoil and fights to provide needed assistance for others.

With Veterans Day today, we are happy to post this donation and so grateful for those who have served.
