– Voting in the senate This Wednesday!
- They’re voting to ELIMINATE HOMEGROW.
- They’re voting to increase tax (above sales tax) from 10% to 15% … with changing where the money goes.
- Possession limit of 1 oz at a time.
- Public Smoking Ban.
- Same licensure as Medical Program Fees.
- They want a license limit of 230, where 107 license are currently being occupied in the medical program. The current medical program licensees would hold priority of an additional adult use license. – Potentially, if the current license holders opt for an additional license, that would leave 16 additional license left for anyone else.
- They want a 25% cap on flower and a 50% cap on concentrates.
- THIS LEGISLATION WOULD ALSO: Prohibit the retail sale of any h**p product that contains more than 0.5 milligram of delta-9 THC per serving, and more than 2 milligrams of D9 per product. It would also ban from retail all other THCs, including delta-8, without limitation. Even more ridiculous, it imposes the same restrictions on topical h**p products, as if consumers are in danger of ingesting CBD lotions.

🚨🚨Help V***r House Fight A Flavor Ban🚨🚨

Ohio’s appropriations bill for 2024-2025 has been amended at the last minute by the senate to include an all-out flavor ban for products that haven’t received marketing orders from the FDA. This is a provision being promoted by a cigarette company that’s also received marketing authorization for its v***r products and would like the state’s help in keeping the competition at bay.

This week HB 33 has advanced to a conference committee where the differences between the house and senate versions will be hashed out.

The 3 representatives listed below make up the conference committee that will decide whether or not the all-out flavor ban remains in the bill.

We ask that you please call them as soon as possible and let them know how HB 33 will affect you.

Some talking points to include in your phone calls,

Urge your lawmakers to oppose big to***co’s flavor ban amendment in HB 33 which would restrict your ability to use low-risk alternatives to smoking and send people back to smoking or to buy their v***r products from informal sources.

Briefly, share your story about switching to va**ng and what role that flavors play in helping you live smoke free.

Note any health changes you’ve experienced.

Briefly, discuss what losing access to a local supply of v***r products will mean for you (Will you shop out-of-state, in neighboring cities, or online? Will you make your own e-liquid at home or purchase products on an underground market?).

Urge Ohio lawmakers to reject the flavor ban amendment in HB 33. Ohio doesn't need to be Joe Camel's police force.
