Hello everyone,

ALS is awful. Brutal. It doesn’t discriminate. It can affect anyone at anytime.

Every year, my son and I enter our boat in this tournament and raise as much as we can in the fight against ALS and to help offset the astronomical costs of patient care.

The Never Surrender's Kolar Toyota ALS Fishing Tournament is fast approaching! ALS is an awful disease. It can affect anyone at anytime. Did you know that Happy Hour wasn't always about discounted drinks and appetizers? Before it became synonymous with grabbing a cheap beer after work, Happy Hour had a much different meaning.
Back in the early 1900s, the term 'Happy Hour' was used by sailors to describe their on-ship entertainment activities. These included wrestling matches and boxing tournaments, all in the name of keeping morale high.
But how did Happy Hour become associated with grabbing drinks? Well, during the Prohibition era, people would gather for a 'Happy Hour' before heading to dinner at illegal speakeasies. This was their way of making sure they got enough alcohol before it became unavailable later in the night.
After Prohibition ended, the term stuck around and eventually evolved into what we know today - a time to unwind with friends after work while enjoying discounted drinks and snacks. So next time you're at Happy Hour, remember its interesting history and maybe even suggest some on-ship entertainment activities for old times' sake. Cheers! 🍻😉

Try a tequila spin on a classic mule! The Mexican Mule is an easy-to-make, summer staple.
- 2 oz tequila
- 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
- 4 oz ginger beer
- Lime slice for garnish
In a copper mug or glass, pour in the tequila, lime juice, and ginger beer. Add ice and garnish with a lime slice. Enjoy!

Are you looking for the perfect drink to share with family & friends this Thanksgiving? This drink packs a punch (no pun intended) and pairs perfectly with a Thanksgiving feast. 🦃

This recipe yields 8 servings:

✅ 1 (32 fluid ounce) bottle cranberry juice
✅ 1/4 cup sugar
✅ 2 cups ginger ale
✅ 2 1/4 cups rum
✅ 8 slices lemon or oranges

In a medium-size punchbowl, stir cranberry juice and sugar together until the sugar dissolves. Mix in ginger ale, rum, and lemon/orange slices. Serve over ice. Cheers!
