It’s Election Day so get out and vote!! Ryan is doing his good civic duty and election judging again this year. If you happen to vote at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Darien you’ll probably run into him. It’s not even 7am and he’s already overloaded on coffee.

Today is the day! 4-7 on Cellar Door’s patio! Weather is shaping up to be quite nice.

Pet Costume Contest starts at 5:30. $1/ drink donated back and we’re doing a hot dog “Buy a Dog Help a Dog” for $5 with 100% of that being donated back and also we’re selling raffle tickets for some awesome wine bottles all benefiting

Huge thanks to for donating the costume prizes. Also the amazing and are emceeing the event as well as hosting music bingo right after!

So get down here with a pet or just come and see all the cute animals and help out an amazing Pet Rescue.

Only a few days away!

Good news too; the village is letting us use the Friends Corner right next to our patio for this event so there will be plenty of space for all of our 2 and 4 legged friends to spread out!!

Costume contest judging will be starting at 5:30 and all participants will receive a goody bag. $1/drink will be donated to and we also will be raffling off some fun wine prizes to raise some more money for this amazing rescue organization

So come thirsty and we’ll see you Thursday!

I'm sure most of you know Jess, one of our amazing servers here at Cellar Door. Her daughter Taylor, a DGN senior, received a cancer diagnosis recently and they are fighting it hard. While Jess cares for Taylor and attends all of her treatments she won't be around Cellar Door as much but she really could use our support to get through this.

Downers Grove North High School senior Taylor Florey is battling bone cancer in her knee, and GoFundMe account has been set up to help pay her medical costs.

It’s going to end up being a perfect weekend for the Fine Arts Festival. Come enjoy the patio, listen to the live music and buy some amazing art! So many talented artist with styles for everyone. We personally love and got our 5th piece from Sandy this morning.

It’s been a while since we’ve posted some of our food specials so here we go!

Making its triumphant return to the menu is our Cauliflower Crust Jalapeño Popper Pizza. It’s been on a little hiatus but we’re happy to have it back and I’m sure you will feel the same.

We’re also featuring house made buffalo chicken meatball and Pork Carnitas Empanadas as well.

So stop in and fill yourself up with a glass or two of wine and these tasty specials.

Huge thanks to .dg and Kelly Henrikson for painting our windows again this year for Pride Month. Kelly took inspiration from her favorite wine we pour, The Diver Sparkling Rose to create this year’s painting.

If you haven’t done so already go out and vote! Remember you can visit ANY polling place in DuPage county to cast your ballot. If you happen to visit St John Lutheran Church in Darien you’ll get to see Ryan working the polls. Bring him coffee and snacks; it’s a long day.

My favorite event of the year that hosts. These masterpieces are courtesy of the future of Downers Grove. Please come walk the town for the next few weeks and look at all the great Halloween artwork on the windows! Tomorrow from 1-3 is downtown trick or treat. I hope I bought enough candy!
