As I’m sure everyone knows at this point after today at 9pm Cellar Door will no longer be able to serve dine/drink in customers for a period of at least two weeks. This is heartbreaking for us and we feel for the rest of our Downers Grove and beyond restaurant families. Fortunately Cellar Door is able to offer our wine and beer for to go sales as well as our food menu to go.
Cellar Door is a small family owned restaurant with a staff of 13 people and sadly for the next two weeks we’ve had to let the majority of our staff know that they are temporarily without shifts. In an effort to minimize the financial impact to our staff any and all tips we receive from our to go orders will be pooled and distributed to our staff. We have always appreciated our patrons generosity and I know that will continue.
Cellar Door strives to have some of the best pricing on all of your favorite wines and starting tomorrow we will be featuring as many case deals as we can. We are also implementing a delivery service for orders of minimum one case as well as curbside pickup. Our food menu can be ordered by calling us directly at 630-241-2030 or for delivery from Grub Hub. For the next 2 weeks we will be modifying our hours to be from 11-8pm Monday-Saturday and 12-8 Sunday.
This is an unprecedented time and these are drastic steps that this state has taken. We encourage everyone to take this seriously and be in it together. Stay home, stay healthy and we can get through this. Take advantage of our food and wine delivery service or curbside pickup. We have plenty of wine to get you through this!
