We are excited to announce our Perham Meat Market will be undergoing a much needed expansion starting in May and hope to be completed by the first of the year! Our Perham Meat Market retail and processing will both stay open throughout construction.
With that being said we would like to inform our patrons/customers on what to expect with the upcoming upgrades.
🐄 Larger Barn – What is the barn you might ask? It is essentially the Perham Meat Market’s area that animals are kept before processing. With a larger barn in the plan it will allow our facility to process approximately an additional 500 animals per year. This will help with clearing up the backlog we are currently experiencing on animals being booked for processing along with being able to accommodate new customers in the future.
🛻 Drive Through System (not pictured) – Our expansion includes a new drive through system which does not require the producer to back up a trailer into our unloading area. The new “drive through” system will help reduce wait times for processing drop off.
🥓 New Smokehouse Processing Room – with updated equipment and facility space this will improve smokehouse product quality and open new opportunities for product development in our smokehouse area. We bring our local made products to our C-Store locations and this expansion in our smokehouse will help keep product in stock at these locations.
❄️ Doubling Freezer & Cooler Space – with the anticipated extra animals per year our cooler and freezer space is being upgraded as well to accommodate the extra processing.
🔪 Deli/Prep Kitchen – Our Perham Meat Market will now have a fully functioning prep kitchen which we hope to bring in more in house made items such as baked goods, pasta salads, and much more!
‼️ Double Retail Space – The Perham Meat Market will be doubling its retail space and that being said are planning on adding a plethora of local items, starting with products from Ottertail County and branching off from there.
🧑🌾 Farmer Of The Month (coming soon) – Soon after our expansion is complete our Perham Meat Market would like to implement the “Farmer of The Month.” Which includes a separate case filled with one farmers local beef/pork products that we will sell for the month. We intend on having a screen above the case with the farmer’s photo and family info/history. This will come after the expansion is done, but it is something we are very excited to implement to support our local beef and pork producers!
🥩 New Processing Equipment – Our expansion includes multiple new pieces of processing equipment to help with quality and speed.
LCC is excited for the upcoming changes and expansion of our Perham Meat Market! We would like to thank our customers and patrons that have supported our business throughout the years, we hope this expansion provides quicker turnaround times for our local famers for processing as well as providing more options for our retail customers.
